Vol. 30, No. 8 August 1998 A.D. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The death of the Virgin resembled rather a short sleep, hence it was called "Dormitio". The Feast of the Assumption follows logically from the privilege of the Immaculate Conception and the Mystery of the Incarnation. For sin, never having defiled the soul of Mary, it was right that her body, in which the Word had become Incarnate, should not be touched by the corruption of the tomb.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

     On November 1,1950, Pope Pius XII defined as a truth revealed by God that the Immaculate Mother of God, Mary ever Virgin, when the course of her life on earth was finished, was taken up body & Soul into Heaven. Such is the Dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.
     "It was surely fitting, it was becoming, that she should be taken up into Heaven and not lie in the Grave till Christ's Second Coming. Who had passed a life of sanctity and of miracles such as hers . . . Who can conceive that God should so repay the debt, which He considered to owe to His Mother for the elements of His Human Body, as to allow the Flesh and Blood from which it was taken to molder in the grave? Or, who can conceive that Virginal frame which never sinned, was to undergo the death of a sinner?... She died, then, because even Our Lord and Savior died. But though she died as well as others, she died not as others die, for, through the merits of her Son, by Whom she was what she was, by the Grace of Christ which in her had anticipated sin, which had filled her with light which had purified her flesh from all defilement, she had been saved from disease and malady, and all that weakens and decays the bodily frame."      August Queen of Heaven, sovereign Mistress of the Angels, who didst receive from the beginning the mission and power to crush the serpent's head, we beseech thee to send thy holy angels, that under thy command and by thy power they may pursue the evil spirits, encounter them on every side, resist their bold attacks, and drive them hence into the abyss of woe.

MARY'S PREROGATIVE

     In these present days of irreverence, antagonism and false devotion toward the Immaculate Mother of God, it behooves those of us who earnestly strive, adamantly cling and prayerfully remain faithful to Catholic Truth, to be able to define with sure knowledge the credentials of our Faith.
     Let us not become victims of the 1962-65 V-2 [Second Vatican Council] falsifiers. Let us not join these "fools who think themselves wise and yet do not see the worth of their own souls That brought our God to earth." Let us not fail our own souls. Let us not FAIL CHRIST.
     Before "V-2", all Catholics knew the main essentials of "MARY'S PREROGATIVE" - . . . and if it was not stated properly . . . right away our Catholic ear would have caught the slightest implication or inference against her special privilege, Mary's Prerogative.
     However, the insidious mish-mash statements spoken by V-2ers and dressed up in the Vatican Newspeak, are not always so easy to decipher, mainly because the people have not heard of "Mary's Prerogative" in some time & are therefore not sure if Paul 6 or JP2 and their followers have slurred Mary or not.

NON-REIGNING      Perhaps we have hurried past JP2's insults to Mary too fast while we have been monitoring the talks of this non-reigning "pope". [We say he is non-reigning because he refused the Crown and its symbolic meanings of Divine Authority, etc. and therefore he reigns not.] Of his utterances on March 25, 1983, when he opened the V-2 "holy year", Charlie made many statements cleverly distorting Catholic Truth which amounts to outright heresy. This non-reigner went on for over 2,000 words speaking as if the new church set up by V-2 is the same as the Catholic Church of EVER. He dared to speak of the means of GRACE given to man by God but dared not mention that the Redemptive grace comes from the DIVINE SACRIFICE and Sacraments as Instituted by Christ--- and certainly NOT FROM THE MAN-MADE INVENTIONS of John 23, Paul 6 and V-2 and the Novus Ordo, nor by Charlie who says he accepted the election so as to carry out the "REFORM" wishes of Paul 6 and V-2, to modernize the Catholic Church and CHANGE the people's attitude and thinking regarding everything about the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic [Unchanging] Immortal Church.
     By the way, Karol's election was illegal too, since ALL THE CARDINALS were NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE. Anyway, a heretic apostate, or unbeliever cannot be in the line of successor to the Chair of St. Peter, since such like are no longer members of the Catholic Church, if they ever were.
A NEW RELIGION      On top of that, the V-2ers admit to starting a new religion, so they are not Catholics by their own choice and therefore would have no rights whatever of sitting in Peter's Chair.
     What Charlie neglected to mention regarding the obtaining of Christ's Redemptive grace, is that the means of obtaining it - ARE SUPPRESSED today, through the reaffirmation of all the Bishops [and later the priests] to the wishes of Paul 6, V-2, and the Novus Ordo, which in effect, emptied the Sanctuaries throughout the world of THE REAL PRESENCE. Very few Catholics have had the heart to notice this most Awesome outcome of bowing to V-2 and the N.O. Yes, it is at this point of Divine departure where all our troubles may be traced. [See Matt. & Daniel.]
TALKS TO THE CHURCH      At one point in his brazen = bizarre soliloquy = Charlie, the actor, TALKED TO THE CHURCH! telling HER to be more sensitive to this Redemption! If we went into all of JP2's insults, we have concerns that our readers would feel engulfed. Nevertheless, we shall have to report to you a couple more.
     Of the Catholic Church, the Spotless Bride of Christ, Who is almost suffocated by V-2 swill, Charlie challenges Her: "We wish HER TO BREATHE more deeply than usually with the lungs of God's pardon mercy." WHY? "We wish Her to be converted and to believe in the Gospel with greater joy than usual." CONVERT TO WHAT? Believe what Gospel other than the Changeless Gospel of Christ, as She has always Taught. And who is this "we" he speaks of? Popes say "We" meaning they speak with the UNITY IN CHRIST. So, is Charlie telling us that this is what Christ is saying, changing the Message after nearer 2,000 years? The gospel of V-2 whom Charlie represents is of humanism; a conversion to Jewish communism of the one world earthly kingdom. Christ said NO to SATAN and his children, his seed, on that issue nearly 2,000 years ago, and His FAITHFUL followers echo that NO still today. NO way Charlie.
     At about the 1,000th word of this type of 1983 double talk and distorted blathering on Friday eve on March 25th during a non-redemptive, graceless, N.O. in St. Peter's at the inauguration of the V-2 "holy year of Redemption", JP2 talked of the ANNUNCIATION in rather Apostolic terms until he quoted Mary: "Behold, [I am] the handmaid of the Lord [Mary, who in her humility did not refer to herself as I]; [let it] be it done to me according to Thy Word." [Luke 1:38] It is here where JP2 adds a remark as if this Virginal Conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost in the ever-Virgin Mary is the same time period of the Immaculate Conception. Many changed attitudes and thinking regarding Mary could easily come about when exact Doctrine and titles and times are missing and replaced; people are confused. Charlie added: "God made her, the first of the redeemed, the door for the Redeemer to enter the world." At first glance, it sounds acceptable. After all, Bishop Sheen once said that Mary needed redemption just like the rest of us. Fortunately, he followed that flip heresy with a triple- somersault of explanations without however canceling out his "she needed it as much as you and I". [The World's First Love, pg. 10] Charlie is also saying, through implication, that Mary was redeemed like ourselves - which would make her a sinner like ourselves, a putting down of her unique status - an attack on Mary's Prerogative.
     Coming from a V-2er, one who has publicly announced his avowed intention to implement V-2 errors - Charlie's statement is neither acceptable nor excusable. It is not a Catholic statement ... it CANNOT PASS THE CATHOLIC EAR "sense" test nor pass unchallenged into the sensitive Catholic ear. NOR SHALL IT.
     Is JP2 ignorant of Mary's Prerogative? Distorting it? Challenging it? Negating it? Since Mary's Prerogative separates her from the rest of us, the Church does not speak of her as redeemed in the same way as other people. As Sheen said in his attempted recovery, she was "desolidarized and separated from that sin laden humanity."
MARY WAS PRESERVED      Mary was preserved from Original Sin in anticipation of Christ's merits. Therefore, the Church does not say she is "the first of the redeemed", as Charlie states, but "Mary is the first effect of redemption" - a very different concept than V-2's. Even so, Sheen states it was "offered" to Mary, while the truth is, this privilege was given to her without her consent, at the moment of the conception of her soul and body in the womb of St. Anne. The Divine Maternity was offered to her - MARY could have said NO. The Immaculate Conception, however, when she herself was conceived in the womb of St. Anne, was freely given to her as a most generous, glorious, necessary gift from God, so that the Sinless One could come to us through a sinless maiden: the privileged state is: MARY'S PREROGATIVE, her IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.
THE DOCTRINE      The Doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was defined by Pope Pius IX on December 8th, 1854. His ever-binding penalties against all and everyone who question this Doctrine in any way included those penalties made by Sixtus IV "to which We want them to be subjected and to which We subject them by the present Constitution. . ." Pio IX forthwith deprived, any such, "of all Authority to preach, teach, read in public and interpret," and "are also deprived ipso facto of voting power, without the need of any further declaration, and it shall not be possible to absolve them from such penalty, or remove it, save through Ourselves, or the Roman Pontiffs who shall succeed Us." [This is an excerpt from the lengthy prohibitions taken from Papal Teachings on Our Lady, reprinted in 1961. Library Card No. 61-14934]
TAUGHT PROM APOSTOLIC TIMES      From the Apostles on down, Mary's Prerogative was believed and recognized with true religious fervor. Those who say the Doctrine developed because it was so long in becoming an article of the Faith flirt with the penalties of Pio IX. The Doctrine did not develop but devotions to Mary have developed over the centuries. However, all of them must first be approved by the Holy See.
     So it is that Catholics always accepted the Immaculate Conception as that glorious privilege by which, through the merits of her Divine Son, through His future tears and His Precious Blood, through His Life, through His Passion and Death, the Blessed Virgin was PRESERVED FREE from the stain of Original Sin from the moment of her Conception.
     By a universal, sovereign, unvarying Decree of Almighty God, the soul of every child of Adam contracts the stain of Original Sin at the moment of conception in the mother's womb. But in Mary's case God suspended this law of His Infinite Justice. At the very instant when He united Mary's soul to the body it animated, that soul DID NOT contract the stain which defiled every human soul but was AT THAT INSTANT immeasurably filled with abundant grace, as a mirror of the sanctity of God Himself, as far as that is possible in a creature. THIS PREROGATIVE is called her IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.
FROM THE BEGINNING      We know from Genesis that God had this intention in mind from the beginning. Mary's nature was not to be corrupted by Adam's fall. Her understanding was not to be darkened: Mary would have clear knowledge, quick perception & retentive memory, even keener than Adam and Eve had enjoyed before their great Sin. Mary's will was not weakened, she had no inclination to evil -- neither through sense nor appetite nor anything else. Her body did NOT rebel against her soul and never did her soul rebel against God -- she was FREE from concupiscence. No guilt or punishment whatever lay on Mary.
     The Blessed Virgin Mary was preserved from Original Sin because it would not be consistent with the dignity of the Son of God to have His Mother, even for an instant, in the power of the devil and an enemy of God.
     The Blessed Virgin Mary could be preserved from sin by her Divine SON before He was born as man, for He Always existed as God and foresaw His own future merits and the dignity of His Mother. He therefore, by His future merits provided for her privilege of exemption from Original Sin.
     So then, when anyone speaks of Redemption and pretends that Mary needed redemption the same as ourselves, or lumps the Annunciation together with her perpetual Virginity or the Incarnation of Christ, we must be wary. The Immaculate Conception means the Blessed Virgin's own exclusive privilege of coming into existence, through the merits of Jesus Christ, without the stain of original sin. It does NOT mean therefore, her sinless life, her perpetual Virginity nor the miraculous conception of Our Divine Lord by the Power of the Holy Ghost. Mary is PRESERVED free from sin, mankind is RESCUED; Mary is without spot or stain; all other men are cleansed; the Precious Blood protected Mary; for others, the Precious Blood obtains pardon. Mary needed NO PARDON because she was sinless.
     The Prerogative of Mary, was really an anticipated Baptism, a redemption of Mary's soul by prevention of sin's contamination and this through the anticipated merits of Christ. The Eternal Son of God would NOT ENTER this world through a defiled doorway. Christ was therefore her Saviour by PREVENTION as He is Ours by subsequent CLEANSING.
SPOTLESS PURITY      Mary is the wonder of wonders, and nothing in the universe, God excepted, is more glorious than MARY -- whose spotless purity and her sinlessness were first proclaimed by God in Paradise [Gen. 3:15]. God saying to the serpent: "She shall crush thy head." Had Mary been brought under the dominion of the devil by sin, she could NOT possibly have been his conqueror.
     We know that no one who builds a house for his own use, would first put his greatest enemy in possession of it; much less would the Holy Ghost, whose Temple Mary was to be, allow the evil one to make her his own. The Council of Trent too affirms her prerogative. Mary has been so highly honored through out the universal Church because God exalted her above all men and angels. ASK MARY      In our devotion to Mary, let us ask her to help us in these perilous times; in obtaining sanctity here below and eternal happiness hereafter. Let us ask her to help us to do penance for the, as yet, unfaced punishment due to Catholics for accepting the V-2 DISLOYALTY TO GOD. Let us ask her to retrain our Catholic sensitive perceptive ear, the Catholic "sense" so as to distinguish objective truth from a merely subjective way of life as taught by those who have captured the Papacy and Teaching Magisterium. May the QUEEN OF HEAVEN AND EARTH aid us in knowing the Catholic Credentials, that TRUTH DOES MATTER. May she help us to defend Catholic Beliefs, HOLY DOCTRINE. Let us join as one, in asking Mary to cure apathy . . . to free the BRIDE OF CHRIST, and send us a God-fearing REPRESENTATIVE of Christ who will truly accept the Divine Authority given to Peter . . . if all these be the Will of God. And lastly, that we may remain faithful to God and His Commands; that we be obedient not to man, but to Almighty God, to Our One Saviour and Redeemer . . . that we keep the Gift of Faith, guarding it jealously, zealously and by the Grace of God obtain the Grace of Final Perseverance. AMEN.
     Holy Mary, be thou a help to the helpless, strength to the fearful, comfort to the sorrowful, pray for the people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all holy women consecrated to God; may all who keep thy sacred commemoration feel the might of thine assistance. [Roman Breviary]

The Family Rosary

The daily practice of this devotion in the family group, father, mother, and children, will serve to create more harmony in the family and will result in greater peace and contentment. It will further increase piety and a greater spiritual development as well as bring down the blessing of God and the watchful care of Our Blessed Lady on all who participate in its daily recitation.
It is also simple to say, and the most convenient time so that all the family might be present is in the evening, probably right after supper. Each member could alternate in leading the prayers.
1. First the Apostles Creed is said while holding the crucifix. The leader would say: "I believe in God," then all would join in the Creed.
2. The leader would then say the first half of the Our Father on the large bead and the first part of the Hail Mary on the three small beads followed by the Glory be to the Father, while the others recite the second parts of these prayers.
3. The leader then announces: The Five Joyful (or Sorrowful, or Glorious) Mysteries and the name of the First Mystery.
4. Then in order, the Our Father is said on each large bead and the Hail Mary on the small beads as above, with the Glory be at the end of each ten Hail Mary's.
5. Concluding the last decade with the Hail Holy Queen.

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN Hail, holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
P. Pray for us, O holy mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

PRAYER O God! Whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the reward of eternal life; grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

     May the divine assistance remain always with us. Amen. And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

LETTERS FROM THINKING CATHOLICS

In the Real Church, the Only Thing That Changes is the Bread and Wine;

In the False Church, the Only Thing That Doesn't Change is the Bread and Wine.

To the Editor:

     You would think that most people would get tired of living a lie. Not only that but they deeply resent any one pointing the lie out to them. However it is the charitable thing to do, for to live a lie a whole lifetime is condemning oneself to hell for all eternity.
     The lies people live by are that Jesus Christ didn't establish or found the Catholic Church; that one must belong to it to enter Heaven at time of death. Christ commissioned His apostles to go teach all nations that whatsoever I have taught you. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved. He who does not believe shall be condemned.
     Christ commissioned his Apostles to teach, govern, and sanctify. He gave the keys to just one, St. Peter. In 1870, at the first Vatican Council I, this was reaffirmed as it was at many previous councils. That in matters of faith and morals, that the Pope speaking from the Chair of Peter, to the Catholic world was infallible. Now, as Catholics, we can not pick and choose. If we deny one dogma we deny the Author of them all. Our 'business' in this life is to seek, study, and pray that we might be found worthy to spend eternity with God, our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. And, oh yes, all the Saints, Our Blessed Mother, and all the angels.
     Nobody said it would be easy. We should expect to suffer as Our Lord suffered. We are in that period of time, as almost anyone will tell you, that the End can't be far off. I believe that Our Lord is telling us also by sending us wars, rumors of wars, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, disorders in our schools, departments of government, distress in our lives and in our families.
     Now those that are outside the Church are not inside the church. The Church is not functioning as She did for 1962 years. Satan's evil force, the Jews, and their stooges, the Freemasons, infiltrated the hierarchy of the Church, now Rome no longer has the Faith. It exists in the hearts and souls of the true believers that deposit of faith, which Christ commissioned to teach all nations. His words will not pass away, but heaven and earth will.
     Those that no longer want to live by the Big Lie can still get into Church by the Baptism of Desire. That would include a thorough Act of Sorrow, a firm purpose of amendment, a resolute effort to know and love God above all things and a love of one's neighbor as one love of self. One would have to be very careful in choosing one's companions - there are very, very few true Roman collars around. In fact, I would seek solitude; prayers to Blessed Mother and Her Spouse the Holy Ghost. Old books and catechisms would be preferred to the modern books. Also the Rosary teaches us the Life, Passion and Death of Christ and our hopes of eternal salvation.
     Pray for me and I'll pray for you that we'll merrily meet in Heaven.

P.S. Isn't it just common sense that the Almighty God would establish a church that would be with mankind until the end of time? And only one Church!

To the editor:

     Who is in charge here? God is. This God of ours, can cause 30-foot ocean waves to wipe out villages. He causes winds to tear down towns, wiping out giant trees. Huge planes to fall from the sky. He said that nation shall War against nation, kingdom against kingdom. There shall be great earthquakes, pestilence, and famines and terrors from heaven.
     But God rendered to the just the wages of their labors. He conducted them in a wonderful way. He brought them through the Red Sea. But their enemies He drowned in the sea, and from the depth of hell He brought them out.
     Why this destruction? It is because of revolt from all authority that comes from Almighty God. Since the evils of the Second Vatican Council have fallen changes and attitudes going on in the Catholic world. All the V-2 "popes" of this modern-day Revolt against everything Catholic appear to be in concord with such an idea.
     "Authority!" This is what they resist; this is what V-2 resists. They are like Luther; they refuse to bend, to bend to the higher Authority. All Authority comes from Creator God, and all revealed religion.
     It is not denied that during the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church reached the height of Her external glory. It came about because the Authority of the Church and the Almighty God were accepted by Christendom; defended by all of Christendom: defended protected and taught by the successors of Peter the Pope.
     It was in 1302 that Boniface VIII had issued UNAM SANCTAM, which teaching is sorely lacking today because the tares of V-2 have crowded out the good seeds of the Catholic Church. UNAM SANCTAM in part says - "We are compelled, our faith urging us, to believe and to behold - and we do firmly believe and simply confess - that there is One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, outside of which there is neither salvation nor remission of sins." And in this Church there is One Lord, one faith and one baptism for the Lord says in John, that there is one fold, one shepherd, and one only.
     UNAM SANCTAM also puts the temporal under the spiritual. Quote "For when the Capital Apostle (St. Paul in Romans 13:1) says: 'there is no power but of God', and the powers that are of God are ordained, they would not be ordained unless sword were under sword and lesser one and the lesser one, as it were, were led by the Greater."
     Further, Boniface VIII declared, announced and defined, ". . . that it is all together necessary to salvation for every human being to be subject to the Roman Pontiff."
     Until we return to Right Order, we will have kids shooting kids, citizens shooting police officers. Our sorrow is certainly with them. However none whatsoever is expressed for the Son of God, who became man, subjected to the most hypocritical trial ever staged, declared innocent by the judge, but ordered to be scourged, crowned with thorns, made to carry a cross, was crucified by His Own, died and was buried. He did this for every one of us. Few pay Him any attention. Instead, they set up false religions, and as earlier stated, wiped out His Sacrifice by His own, in a false council. They deny His Authority. I for one do not.
     The pagan "new spirit" hovering over Christendom reveals itself as having a very devilish spirit with intense interest in humanism rather than Godliness. Temporal leaders have lost the recipe for good government. Today, they cannot find it anymore. Lost is that quality of Christian Government enjoyed at its peak during the Middle Ages. The people must learn the truth: the Church is above the State, not it's equal. Power to govern comes from Above, from Almighty God. Moral principles to exist must be taught and practiced.
     The July 29, 1998 Manhattan Mercury is quoting "what others think" out of the Hutchinson News that the nation's biggest grain shipper wants to shift blame for its rail backlog to farmers unwilling to sell grain at low prices. But farmers have good reason to hold out for higher vices - economic survival.
     So that the Nation's biggest grain shipper will know what we farmers that are holding grain will sell, I thought I would pass the word on to them. Just as soon as wheat hits the $10.00 a bushel out here in the country. Now give me the static that the consumers can't afford it. They pay ungodly prices for their cars, homes, and vacations for their kids' Nike shoes, clothes, and yes, for their hamburgers etc. - you name it, they pay it.
     Now $10.00 is really a very fair price for a bushel of wheat. We farmers could pay for the $100,000 tractors, combines, planters' etc. We could make a payment at the bank; and yes, all those asinine taxes that those guys that we send to Washington to represent us lay on everybodys' back.
     Now, Mr. Fellow Farmer, as soon as anyone gives you $10.00 a bushel for your wheat, let me know and we both will sell at the same time and I'll do the same here. In the meantime get the word out that we are getting only 7 cents out of every $2.00 that the housewife is paying for a loaf of bread. That is the staff of life.

WHACK--OF--SHILLELAGH AWARD

(1) Breaking the nearly 2,000 year old covenant between God and man, the Covenant of the New Testament written in God's own Blood; causing the Church to be stripped of her only valid sacrificial worship, depriving mankind of the Real Presence, God with us in the Blessed Sacrament -- in consequence of which all must suffer calamities and Divine punishments.

(2) Destroying the Apostolic Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ, erecting in her stead a false structure, an anti-Catholic church whose pillars are de Chardinism's evolving God, de Lubac's humanism, modernism, existentionalism, and communism's atheistic one-church, one-government, one-world. There can be no other foundation for the Catholic church than Christ Jesus.

(3) Commissioning men (prejudiced against Catholic truths and biased and partial toward Paul VI's anti-RC church) to rewrite Holy Scripture with intent to impugn its Divine Authorship and to pervert God's Word, Divine Revelation -- defiling and corrupting it. These men having lost Christian Truth and Spirit -- trespass, and are poachers on God's property, the Bible.

(4) Downgrading and de-emphasizing devotion to Mary, Mother of Our Savior. In the new anti-RC church of Paul VI, Mary is assigned a silent and passive role; i.e. public devotion to her no longer is to be promoted since Mary, Virgin Mother, is unbelievable to and out-of-favor with non-Catholics. ". . . meditation on Mary is enough . . ." Hiss! Crackle!! Burn!!!

(5) Refusing (June 27-28, 1970) audience to Catholics loyal to orthodoxy and tradition. What kind of shepherd turns away from his sheep? Paul VI opens Vatican doors to every filthy bird that walks this earth but holds doors tight shut with aid of public police against Catholics faithful to Christ. The day of persecution of Faithful RCs is upon us.

How long? How long shall faithful Catholics allow these desecrations? How long, O Lord? . . . . . . .

HISTORY OF THE WHACK AWARDS

     Readers ask: When did VERITAS start the Whack Awards? Didn't you also "issue" TRUTH AWARDS? Whose idea was it? How long has VERITAS been publishing?
     Loyal Priests of Christ started this practice of awarding Whacks to the false popes. The first whack was given to Montini [Paul VI] back in July 1970. The Priests had made a Promise to the ever-Virgin Mary, Mother of God - in May 1970 to begin using "the Shepherd's Staff" as a Weapon. St. Bernard's MOTTO during the period of a false pope, in his time was: "PRAY TO GOD AND HIT OUT WITH A STICK" [from "Plot Against The Church", page 21].
     Actually, the STAFF is what shepherds use on their sheep sometimes to protect them; sometimes to keep them in line. A SHILLELAGH is also an Irish walking stick to beat off wild dogs.
     A Dominican Priest dominated this work. He and another priest were Canon Law experts. Those of us who helped print VERITAS promised to "carry on" if and when the 3 Priests "in- charge" died. We have been Blessed with an elderly Priest advisor to this day. The "caretaker" is a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic, a T.O.P.      Paul VI was not the first to be given a Whack Award. The local situation in Louisville changed for the worse, after Paul VI bitterly replaced our real Archbishop in 1967 with one who claimed to be "a V-2 Bishop".
     However, our REAL pro-APOSTOLIC CATHOLIC BISHOP refused to leave the Chancery. He was being treated for cancer back then. In fact he died in 1968. Then his replacement took over and V-2 also.
     Ironically, the Whack Award helped the new Bishop to see that V-2 IS WRONG. He died the other day. He died on the FEAST OF ST. DOMINIC, who surely fought him hammer and nails. His name: THOMAS J. McDONOUGH and he "retired" in 1982 to Florida and then a rest home in Pennsylvania. Yet, be was given a V-2 "send-off" at the local Cathedral and is buried next to our staunch TRUE Catholic Bishop: JOHN A. FLOERSH in Louisville's CALVARY CEMETERY. Life is strange isn't it!!!

Concern For Louisville Diocese. Taken from Veritas: August, 1974 AD

     Only two men in the world receive the Veritas Whack-of-Shillelagh Award every month, and they most recently met face-to-face in a private audience - not a pleasant visit.
     The occasion was the meeting between Montini and Louisville's McDonough during the latter's ad limina or "to the threshold" visit to Rome for the required once-every-five-year private visit and report, a practice discontinued during the V-2 Council years but recently resumed for its obvious value of keeping in touch with the cold- war in the parishes. It was not the first time these two had met, however. McDonough knew Montini when the latter was Secretary for Ordinary Affairs for the Vatican.
     McDonough said he had "certain apprehensions" over meeting Montini - the understatement of the year. Throughout the world there are 2,000 dioceses and more than 2,500 bishops, but during McDonough's visit at the Vatican he was told point-blank in red-letters that out of the thousands of dioceses, only one had Montini concerned and worried - Louisville, KY, headquarters for Veritas.
     Montini prepared well for McDonough. From the moment McDonough walked into the papal study room, Montini showed his concern over Louisville. On his desk he had a map of the USA, and he pointed to Kentucky and underlined Louisville with a red pencil! During the 35-minute audience, Montini let it be known "he knew considerably" about Louisville. Why not? Each month he is air-mailed a copy of Veritas along with the Shillelagh Award. What other bishop gets his diocese red-penciled in private audience?! If more dioceses had papers like Veritas, Sword of Truth, etcetera, they'd also receive this distinction.
     The two men discussed frankly their V-2 ambitions, the presence of fierce opposition to these ambitions, and their personal fears. McDonough presented a 116-page report on V-2 developments in Louisville during the past 5 years. His report covered such subjects as how many $$$s are in the kitty; the number of Catholics apostatizing to V-2; the number of parochial schools McDonough has managed to close down; how effectively the matrimonial tribunal is pushing the V-2 message of divorce and contraception; how well the diocesan commissions are carrying out the V-2 demolition mandates; texts of some V-2 pastoral letters, statements and directions plus McDonough's personal observations; the on-going role of youth in V-2 sect; progress of V-2 implementations; the "fragmentations" in the diocese; and the whereabouts of the Holy Ghost. Paul-Saul can't find Him in the Vatican and wondered if Jolly McDonough might have Him in Louisville?
     A troublesome concern of McDonough is the ever-growing number of RCs demanding return of the Sacrifice Mass. Sure, local RC's are on his back all the time. Montini admitted this foreboding development has him worried also, and advised McDonough to "stress essentials. You must talk to your people about that." In turn, Montini talked of his overriding worry - Veritas, demanding that McDonough give more information on the editors.
     McDonough entered the papal study with an apprehensive smile; he exited with a scared-to-death look on his face. For the departing photo, Montini thoughtfully removed his glasses so we could all get a good look at his occult eye.
     The meeting's anxiety and concern says things aren't going well for V-2 these days The element of novelty and surprise so predominant in the early post-Council years is now gone, never to be regained by the V-2 Sanhedrin. The worry now publicly expressed by the V-2 captors of the Vatican tells us plainly they are frightened men: they're running scared in the Vatican and scared in the Chanceries. They fear the mighty giant forming in the masses of ordinary Catholics now awakening from their V-2 snooze and wondering aloud and searching for their Church and religion as it was before V-2. These coming-alive RC's have had a gut-full of V-2 anti-Catholic changes . . . they're pondering action. The V-2 jig is up, and nobody reads this fateful message clearer than Giovanni Battista Montini.
     Those V-2 fears and the RC great-awakening are portent straws in the wind, signalling doom for V-2 and the return of better and happier days for the Catholic Apostolic Church and Faith. God speed this day of deliverance out of the hands of the V-2 enemy.

Soldier's protest wins little sympathy Associated Press
     FALLS CHURCH, Va. - A former Army medic who received a bad-conduct discharge for refusing to wear a U.N. patch and beret got little sympathy yesterday from a military appeals court panel.
     "Our military would grind to a screeching halt" if soldiers didn't follow orders, said Col. Frank Ecker, associate judge of the Army Court of Criminal Appeals.
     Michael New said he was exercising his patriotism by refusing to add a U.N. patch and blue beret to his U.S. military uniform for a 1995 peace-keeping mission in Macedonia, one of six former republics of Yugoslavia.
     New's attorney, Henry Hamilton argued that New believed he had a right to refuse to wear the U.N. insignia because it amounted to a shift of allegiance from the United States to the United Nations. Hamilton also claimed President Clinton's deployment order was illegal because it wasn't approved by Congress.
     "There is no duty to obey an unlawful order," said Hamilton, a retired Army judge advocate general.
     The three judge panel questioned his theory. It noted that the president has authority to deploy troops, in cases such as dispatching the small Macedonian contingent without consulting Congress. New's discharge is being held in abeyance pending appeals.

Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, 53

The newly created Austrian cardinal is considered a rising star but probably still too young to be elected pope, especially right after John Paul's long pontificate. Archbishop of Vienna, Schoenborn was chief editor of the new Catechism of the Catholic Church, and he helped bring calm to his archdiocese after a previous prelate was accused of pedophilia.

Znamya 2.5      MOSCOW - A plan to illuminate Russia's sun-starved northern cities with a huge mirror in space has been postponed indefinitely due to lack of funds, space officials said Friday.
     The 100-foot space mirror, called Znamya 2.5, was designed to work like the moon by reflecting sunlight onto parts of Northern Russia, lighting them during long nights.
     The Znamya, or Banner would have been launched in November
     We are struggling to raise funds to send regular supplies to the station, let alone the Znamya," said Sergei Gorbunov, a spokesman for the Russian Space Agency.
     The mirror was to be attached to a cargo ship that would release it after the ship docked with the Mir space station. "There is no place for that mirror aboard the cargo ships because we can only ferry the most vital supplies to the station," Gorbunov said.
     In February 1993, Russia ran a similar experiment called Znamya 2, but the mirror was barely visible on Earth, said Vera Medvedkova, a spokeswoman for the Mission Control.
     The new Znamya, which was to be followed by larger mirrors, would have resembled a shooting star, not a large object such as the moon, Gorbunov said.

Israel Wins Image Exemption The U.S. government has banned American satellite-imaging companies from taking certain high-resolution images of Israel, State Department officials said Friday in Washington. They said Israel feared its enemies might obtain images from U.S. satellites equipped with new, "one meter" resolution cameras so use of these cameras over Israel has been banned. Israel is the only country to receive such an exemption. The new cameras have one meter (39.37 inch) resolution capability. This new technology lets cameras from outer space produce images of objects at least one square meter wide (1.2 square yards). Department officials informed the companies of the decision at a meeting Wednesday. Under rules spelled out at the meeting, the companies can zero in on the rest of the world at one meter resolution but older two-meter technology has to be used with Israel.

BEWILDERED BISHOPS Bishops Bewildered, Embarrassed

     A lady in So. Carolina sends us the Diocesan paper a batch at a time. The last "mail-in" reveals JP2 is the culprit as to befuddling the Bishops anew at least every 4 months. As is his wont, JP2 told the Bishops in late winter, to "overcome divisions". They were told to resolve issues and teach Catholics how to understand "church teaching". JP2 honed in on Priests with Irish backgrounds, as March 17 neared. The new V-2 heretical "catechism" was given a plug. WHY? It is supposed "to replace process with content"-- whatever that may mean. This "catechism" is supposed to "renew our contemporary culture at the parish level through freedom of truth about the human person." This is called: "missionary work"!!!
     WE get an idea of how heretical is JP2's "V-2 catechism" when, in April he dashed off to Nigeria to tell "Black" folk we all share the same beliefs with the Muslims and each person has the right to follow his or her own religion.!!! As usual with him, his so- called "mass" is his mentor's, that is, Paul VI's New Order.
     SHORTLY thereafter, JP2 was pushing a false Holy Thursday to the floor boards. He ruined Good Friday entirely, thereby misconstruing Holy Thursday for sure. Again - his play is to a community - a gathering of peoples. Again his explanation of the Holy Ghost is an out-pouring of heretical statements, such as: "renew our sense of the grace of our unique vocation." JP2 rattled off a select list of the Gifts of the Holy Ghost, but he neglected to rightfully explain how sinlessly we must live, so as to obtain wisdom. He listed: "FEAR OF THE LORD." He ought try for it! He needs it.
     ON Good Friday, it rained on JP2, the fellow who reigns not. He told more lies, saying the Christians are wrong to blame the Jews for the death of "Jesus".      He used GOOD FRIDAY to talk about the phoney "HOLOCAUST" blaming the Christians for allowing Hitler's Nazi furor against the JEWS!
     JP2 MADE Christ's VICTORY over Death and Sin sound as if man is never again guilty of Sin!!! He says our humanity dignity are restored.
     Original sin on each new born baby tells us that Sin has not left us, that Christ came to bring us 7 SACRAMENTS AS PART OF OUR REDEMPTION. JP2 LEFT OUT THE CORRECT ANSWERS. SO MUCH FOR his "CATECHISM".
     By Easter he was talking of Peace, a phoney peace where the Catholics would war no more against the enemies of Christ and His Church. To JP2, all religions are the same, so why quibble over any of them!!! He advocates COMPROMISE AND ACCEPTANCE OF ANY AND ALL. But St. James 4:4 says: "A friend of this world becomes an enemy of God."
     In the meantime, Bishops and Priests have been preaching a dual message based on "V-2". Some preached "be perfectly human" while others said: "think creative Christianity" and others changed the likeness we have of God in our souls, to man becoming the very "image of God". It goes on and on.
     Vocations now come from the work of the parish rather than from God. Each parish becomes a key target. The laity become Ministers. Liturgy has become inventive-type. "Change" is the catchword. Insights into the fake Council and the strange future mapped out for the false church is uppermost. But a few Bishops try to hold out for the Traditional Apostolic Teachings of Christ. These get into JP2's hair!!!
     Thus, John Paul 2 decided to lay down his own "law" to "prevent & confute" any one who rises against him and his recourse to the phoney "V2" with its blasphemous "church in the Modern World" arrow aimed at the HEART OF MOTHER CHURCH.
     Where does this leave the Bishops?
     In an effort to please JP2, they are trying to follow whatever he says. It is August, the month when his admired "predecessor Paul 6" died. As he does every August, JP2 brings attention mainly to 6's "Humanae Vitae" on "the Regulation of Birth" which amounts to out and out BIRTH CONTROL. VERITAS TOOK THAT APART IN NOVEMBER, 1972. URSULA OXFORT HAS attacked that heretical proposal in at least 4 of her Bulletins.
     If you have not noticed, the Press has gone wild this August with pros and cons of this "Regulation of Birth" thing.
     And the poor bewildered Bishops? This one should do it. For 40 years, there has been a revolt brewing. Since the false Council, Catholics have been too patient. It's way past time to cancel out the phonies. The Church has STRICT LAWS THAT WENT INTO EFFECT 40 YEARS AGO. LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW. SO HELP US GOD. Amen.

John Paul II will take message to the Internet VATICAN CITY - John Paul II, who has traveled to more countries and met more Catholics than all his predecessors combined, is about to extend his reach into cyberspace.
     Starting today, the "pope" is going live on the Internet. Sound and video of his public appearances will be available in real time to just about anyone with a computer hooked up to a telephone.
     This new feature of the Vatican's World Wide-Web site is the media-savvy "pope's" latest use of digital-age tools to spread his message and boost his authority.
     The 78-year-old "pope" will now be able "to reach people no matter where they are," said Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, who runs the Vatican administration and its Internet Office. The Internet appearances, he said, will be "an extension of John Paul's pastoral visits" to more than 100 countries.
     Viewers can tune in by going to the Web site at http://www.vatican.va/ and downloading free software to start the live transmissions from Vatican Radio and the Vatican Television Center.
     Msgr. Ugo Moretti, director of Vatican television, said the site will transmit about 140 events per year, including the "pope's" Angelus prayer each Sunday, his weekly Wednesday audiences and occasional "Masses" in St. Peter's Basilica.
     The weekend start-up features the "pope's" celebration of the Roman Catholic Feast of the Assumption.
     Most of these events will start at noon Vatican time.
