Appeal for an Ex-Cathedra
Judgment on Vatican II

Toni des Frêsnes

Prologue

The following appeal for a solemn definitive judgment on the decrees and teachings of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council is addressed to Catholics generally, both religious and lay. Its purpose is to engage support from those souls who have the grace and power to come to the aid of the Church, in defense of the Faith by prayer and action. Above all, it is hoped this information might strengthen those who strive to serve Jesus Christ amidst tribulation. This text is not intended to be a legal case, but rather a personal plea from the ranks of the Church Militant. The course of action cited here is most feared by our foes – capable of destroying their citadel in a single blow. Towards this objective, we pray some good bishops with true allegiance to the Queen of Heaven, are inspired to lead the way to her final victory. Meantime we look forward during this Year of the Holy Spirit, to His counsel and consolation as He tends those wounded members of the Mystical Body of Christ. And, as the Year of the Father approaches, we may well see, as in days of old, the chastisement of His wayward people and rejoice in the subsequent return of His prodigal children. Could it be that the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart is to coincide with the dawn of the coming new millennium? Whenever God wills it, the Church will be cleansed and we shall be like lambs released from the barn after winter – firstborn of the real "new springtime"! May Lord Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, St Joseph and the Angel of Peace – who all endorsed Fatima by their appearance – assist the Holy Father, the bishops and the whole Church to do God’s Will. Jacinta and Francisco Marto, pray for us.

Part One

Dissent

His Eminence Basil Cardinal Hume was recently quoted by the British press as saying, "No Catholic is free to dissent." In the correct sense, that is true. We are not free to criticize or reject dogma, the magisterium, infallible doctrine or the articles of our faith. On the other hand, we are perfectly free to repudiate a counterfeit doctrine, which is represented as "infallible", but is nevertheless alien to the authentic traditional Magisterium. Indeed, we have the duty to recognize, resist and reject any such falsehood. Unfortunately, the distinction between truth and error is clouded in our day. Ever since the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, a plague of doctrinal confusion has descended upon us. There have been countless crusades, critiques and debates dealing with the tainted fruits of the Modernist revolution in the Church. For over thirty years now, this liberal ideology, like a parasite, has been living off and choking its host, the One True Vine. We cannot impede its progress by rehabilitating or removing any one of its particular outgrowths, such as "ecumenism" or "liturgical reform". The source of this new religion, masquerading as "Catholic", must be permanently removed, in order for true Catholicism to grow in the future and to flourish once more.

Fallible Council

We might argue that our present woes began long before the Council. But the fact remains that without Vatican II the auto-demolition of our Faith and our Church could not have been implemented. This unprecedented "pastoral" Council was by no means infallible in all its teachings. In contrast to Vatican II, the previous twenty valid ecumenical Councils of the Church held over the past nineteen centuries, were all dogmatic and therefore infallible – containing no trace of error in their texts, teachings and penalties.

By what strange privilege then does this golden calf of our era, fashioned at the zenith of "aggiornamento", now command the esteem of a sacred cow at the nadir of our spiritual and temporal demise? Indeed, it is high time for Vatican II to be re-visited and judged, with its errors exposed and condemned. How and by whom? Only a Pope or a Pope-in-Council can judge the Second Vatican Council and its legacy, the cult of man.

Why has our Supreme Pontiff not used his Petrine power to clear up the appalling confusion perverting faith and morals throughout the Church today? Surely Rome is not blind to the fact that once the errors of the Council are vanquished and its "spirit" exorcised, the present apostasy or revolution in the Church will be finished?

It is unfortunate that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre was deftly sidetracked into a liturgical dispute, apparently choreographed in Rome. If only he had invoked his episcopal right to a solemn judgment on the documented errors of Vatican II, he would have won a universal victory for the Faith (including of course, for the traditional Latin Mass). The very last thing Rome wanted was to be forced to deal with a legal ecclesiastical case which would publicize the theological flaws of the Council.

One Good Shepherd

Nevertheless, the same opportunity remains open to this day. If God so wills, all it would take is one good shepherd who sincerely wished to know without any doubt that what he had implemented or was sustaining from Vatican II was indeed free from all error in the sight of God. Such a bishop would need the grace to slip the collegial noose long enough to publicly insist – as a Prince of the Church – on his right to a definitive judgment on the texts and teachings of the Council. Is such a man to be found? At the very least, an information campaign would certainly help Catholics, both religious and lay, to understand why we need to be released from the grip of Vatican II. Such a crusade, appealing to the faithful, especially those devoted to Our Lady of Fatima and her message, might even inspire some brave bishop(s) to precipitate an infallible papal judgment on the Council. Thus the Pope would have the choice to proclaim ex-cathedra, that the documents of Vatican II are free from all error (which we know the Holy Spirit will prevent – physically if necessary, as errors do exist), or to condemn these errors with the full force of his supreme authority. The bottom line here is that an infallible judgment will break the conciliar bonds which keep us hostage.

Pope John Paul II began his pontificate with the phrase "Be not afraid!" and he has been repeating it to us ever since. If His Holiness truly believes the Council to be absolutely free of all error, why not dare to say so ex-cathedra? We know as Pope that he has the personal power to judge the Council if he is required to do so. He is also in the unique position to make an infallible judgment on his own teachings based on the Council, if he has the courage to do this. John Paul II admits in Tertio Millennio Adveniente, his 1994 Apostolic Letter on the coming third millennium, that "since the publication of the very first document of my Pontificate, I have spoken explicitly of the Great Jubilee… In fact, preparing for the Year 2000 has become as it were, a hermeneutical key of my Pontificate." Since the Pope has been preparing for this event all along, now is obviously a prime time for John Paul II to hear an echo of his own words. "Be not afraid, Holy Father! Be not afraid to judge Vatican II and its teachings ex-cathedra!"

But in truth, the Council is vulnerable. The fallibility of Vatican II is the Achilles’ heel of the enemy. Even those prelates who have actually lost the Faith, yet proceed sacrilegiously with their careers – lodged inside the post-conciliar machinery – remain fearful of the claim that the Supreme Pontiff cannot err in judging faith and morals within an ex-cathedra decree. For the craftsmen of conciliarism, any such attack against the Council would be taboo. So what of it? This doggerel says it all…"Their big taboo for Vatican Two,would set us free for the Great Jubilee!" Even the demons of hell know that an ex-cathedra judgment on the documents and teachings of Vatican II, would deliver the coup de grace to the myth of its "authority".

Pope John Paul I

Our dear Pope John Paul I, of 33 days’ reign, may have intended to review the Council. He did remark that he was going to clean out the "Augean stables" with reference apparently to Vatican finances. But he died unexpectedly and his body was swiftly cremated before an autopsy could be done. We do not know which men made the unprecedented decision to have the Pope’s body burned to ash instead of burying him, but we can be sure Albino Luciani’s fate served a message to troublemakers who might oppose the party line.

Theological Complexity

Consequently a line from the Apocalypse comes to mind: "Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?" (Ap. 13:4) Who then is capable of challenging Vatican II? This task would tax the limits of even the most erudite scholars, because of the theological complexities involved. On the one hand, when the Council reinforced pre-conciliar theology, doctrine and practices, taught by popes and dogmatic councils of the past, such teachings are infallible and belong to the authentic traditional magisterium. On the other hand, when conciliar texts departed into unprecedented novelties and into contradiction with what the Church had previously taught, it is from this arsenal that the leaven of modernism was diffused. Only an extremely gifted theologian is able to distill the nectar of Catholic Truth from the liberal errors in this potion.

Defender of the Faith

There is such a priest in France – the Abbé Georges de Nantes, founder of La Contre-Réforme Catholique (Catholic Counter-Reformation), who had the wisdom and courage to expose the errors of Vatican II. After the Council closed, his writings were submitted to the Holy Office upon his own request for formal judgment. Quite simply it was a case of either the Abbé was wrong in his accusations, or the Council documents were in error.

But instead of judging the thesis, they judged the author! The Abbé de Nantes was arbitrarily commanded to retract all his accusations under "blind" obedience, even though not a single error could be found in the Abbé’s evidence, which had been scrutinized with a fine tooth comb by the Vatican’s most astute conciliar minds. At the outset, the Abbé had expressed his filial willingness to retract any theological errors he might have made, but since the Vatican was unable to find even one, he refused to back down with his allegations, which in reality would have been equivalent to a denial of the Truth. Georges de Jesus, the Abbé de Nantes, was punished by being "disqualified" – a penalty unheard of in Canon Law – like a soccer player! The fact is, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (formerly known as the Holy Office or Inquisition) has, in violation of the bona fide requirements of the laws of the Church, refused to declare judgment or even to answer any one of the three formal cases submitted by the Abbé over the past 30 years.

Furthermore, it is a bizarre fact that the only documents missing from Cardinal Ratzinger’s allegedly complete public file of all submissions to his department over the past three decades, are the specific documents submitted by the Abbé de Nantes. What are we to make of the Cardinal’s erroneous claim that no documents were omitted from his recently published file? He cannot deny that these apparently flawless cases were legally filed and received by his Office and will have to be resurrected and finally resolved in the future.

Meanwhile, the French Abbé, a formidable and articulate defender of the Faith, has been slandered and unjustly persecuted non-stop. He holds the distinction of being the only prelate who has compiled a theologically airtight dossier of published works, capable of toppling Vatican II. Since he has also had the temerity to point out the errors of post-conciliar popes, which curiously not a soul in the Vatican has attempted to refute or deny, the Abbé de Nantes is without doubt one of the most feared and hated men in Rome. Vatican emotions aside, the reality of this impasse is that a priest, albeit a brilliant theologian, does not have the same power a bishop or an archbishop has, as Successor of the Apostles and Prince of the Church, to insist upon his right to a solemn infallible judgment from the Pope on Vatican II texts and teachings.

Modernism

This is what we need. In the absence of a Third Vatican Council, there is no other way out for us (with the exception of. some miraculous divine intervention). The errors and ambiguities of Vatican II cannot be eradicated by trying to interpret them "in the light of tradition", because the modernism animating this conciliar reformed religion contradicts previous papal teachings, the magisterium and in short, the Catholic Faith. We were warned about this at the beginning of the 20th century. Pope Saint Pius X prophesied that Modernism, "the common sewer of all heresies", would, after a temporary setback under his reign, return to attack the Church from within later this century, but in a more virulent form.

Pope Leo XIII

Previously, on 13 October 1883, Pope Leo XIII had collapsed at the Agnus Dei whilst celebrating Holy Mass in the Sistine Chapel. The cardinals who carried him out thought he was ill, but the Pope described instead a frightful vision be had seen. Leo XIII said he saw Satan asking for and obtaining the twentieth century in order to do his worst against the Church of Christ. When the Pope witnessed the extent of the future devastation, he fainted from shock. This vision caused him to compose the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel and to order its public recital after each Low Mass throughout the world. These Leonine prayers were immediately suppressed by the reformers after Vatican II. The Oath Against Modernism, mandatory for each candidate at ordination, was canceled and the powers conferred by the Church on every priest as Exorcist were eliminated. These particular changes had the effect of sabotaging our defence against diabolic activity and undermined clerical resistance to heresy.

Infallible Teachings

Now, as the result of the Council spawning a hybrid legacy of error mixed up with the truth, we have an added responsibility. We must learn which principles to apply to the example and teachings of Popes who base their ideology on Vatican II. Firstly, we know absolutely that the Supreme Pontiff is always protected by the charism of Papal Infallibility in his Extraordinary Magisterium (ex-cathedra decrees), which, over the past two thousand years have been so few that we can literally count them on our fingers. Secondly (and this is where it gets dangerous), we need to be aware that Peter is protected by infallibility in his "ordinary magisterium" (day-to-day teachings), only on the condition that he continues to teach what the Church has always taught. The moment the Pope disregards this strict proviso and departs into teaching novelties (unheard-of concepts) or contradicts previous doctrine, he is not remotely covered by infallibility and can make prudential mistakes and dreadful errors in his private capacity as a mere "pastoral counselor." Although rare, examples do exist in the preconciliar Church, such as Pope John XXII, who was accused of heterodox teaching. After throwing one of his accusers into the papal dungeon in Avignon, John XXII continued to stick by his affirmation, but on his deathbed he admitted he was wrong and recanted.

In contrast, one of the greatest follies today rests in the fatal post-conciliar notion that every word uttered by the Pope is somehow guaranteed to be above reproach. That is simply not Catholic. The Pope is not impeccable. Besides, none of our post-conciliar Popes has ever made an ex-cathedra pronouncement, and their locutions and writings may only be accepted as infallible, when they fulfil the stringent conditions prescribed. Therefore, for safety’s sake with reference to papal quotes based on conciliar teaching – these may be attributed to the philosophies of the men themselves – Giovanni Battista Montini in the case of Paul VI and Karol Wojtyla with respect to John Paul II.

Definition of Vatican II

What was given as the raison d’être for the Second Vatican Council? In Tertio Millennio Adveniente, John Paul II gives us a definition of Vatican II as follows:

No Council has ever spoken so clearly about Christian unity, about dialogue with non-Christian religions, about the specific meaning of the Old Covenant and of Israel, about the dignity of each person’s conscience, about the principle of religious liberty, about the different cultural traditions within which the Church carries out her missionary mandate and about other means of communication.

John Paul II elaborates further on the Council’s "striking new tone" and writes:

The Second Vatican Council is often considered as the beginning of a new era in the life of the Church… In the history of the Church, the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ are always closely interwoven. The ‘new’ grows out of the ‘old’ and the ‘old’ finds a fuller expression in the ‘new’. Thus it was for the Second Vatican Council.

However, Jesus Christ taught:

No man puts a piece from a new garment upon an old garment, otherwise he both rends the new, and the piece taken from the new garment agrees not with the old. And no man puts new wine into old bottles; otherwise the new wine will break the bottles and it will be spilled and the bottles will be lost. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. And no man drinking the old has presently a mind to the new; for he says: the old is better. (Lk. 5:36-39)

God tore the temple veil to mark the end of His Old Covenant. His New Covenant included a new sacrifice, new priesthood and a new mandate. However, once established by Christ Himself, the Church was required to keep the deposit of Faith intact, as handed down by the Apostles, until the end of the world. It is only in the strict chronological sense of the word that the New Covenant became "old" (aged) over the 2,000 years of our history. But that is all. The Christian deposit of Faith remained non-negotiable to "reform" until the Protestant revolution. Yet our Catholic doctrine (in toto) was unassailed from within until Vatican II when, with immense pride and presumption, for the first time in the history of the Church a brand new set of beliefs was conjured up (without dogmatic authority) under the catch-phrase "renewal".

Pastoral Council

The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council was convened by Pope John XXIII and opened to a fanfare of publicity in 1962. In his opening address (written by Cardinal Montini, the future Paul VI) John XXIII proclaimed the Council to be "pastoral," not dogmatic, thus shutting out the unequivocal protection of the Holy Spirit in His infallible guidance of dogmatic decrees. This Council was going to be so new it was going to be the very first in the entire history of the Church to avoid any responsibility to define dogmatic teachings. And it was also going to be the very first to avoid making a single penalty or anathema necessary to safeguard the purity of the Faith. There was no condemnation of Communism or, as Our Lady of Fatima warned, "the errors of Russia", by Vatican II. Of all ages our godless era was surely the most needful of doctrinal protection.

This "pastoral" Council therefore, in refusing to accept dogmatic responsibility (which effectively excluded the Holy Spirit as Counselor), ensured its participants were simply left with the spirits of men to guide them. Nevertheless, a so-called "Pastoral Council" was obviously going to have to formulate its teachings by some means, such as pastoral theology, which may be defined as follows: Pastoral theology deals with the care of souls. It takes the teaching of dogmatic, moral and ascetical theology and the rules of canon law and applies them to the everyday work of the clergy in all its aspects.

Vatican II was used as a springboard to jettison the past and to introduce a revolutionary philosophy for the "Pilgrim Church" on earth. The laity had their life blood injected with a batch of experimental, synthetic sera. After the Council closed in 1965 and based on its authority, everything was made new. The Classical Roman liturgy was suppressed and a new Mass was fabricated by a committee. The Sacraments were changed and rewritten. The Divine Office was constructed in a different format and divorced from Latin. A new Code of Canon Law was produced and an official new universal "Catechism" appeared. In fact, a whole new religion took shape.

These strange new ideas, having been slipped into Conciliar texts and passed off as "infallible", now infest most of what we see, hear or read. From a logical standpoint, one cannot take a flawed set of documents as the basis for one’s teachings. The more the original errors are quoted as the "authority", the greater the subterfuge of the evolving imposture. In our case, we have been enveloped by a rapidly expanding house-of-straw lodged on our "updated" Rock. All it will take is one lighted match (an ex-cathedra judgment) or one lightning strike (a divine intervention) to have the entire façade reduced to ashes. But the Rock will endure unto the end of time. Laus Deo!

Part Two

What to Believe?

As the direct result of an unprecedented non-dogmatic "Pastoral" Council, we are facing an historically unique situation. Authentic Catholicism is now inundated by an ocean of error, which has almost submerged faith and morality throughout the Universal Church. We need an infallible judgment on the flawed texts of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council. Until this fountain is turned off, we cannot stem the flood, nor save the drowning flock, nor repair our water-logged barque. In surveying this contemporary sea of confusion, it is necessary to know, as true Catholics, where we stand, prior to any examination of the erroneous teachings and practices in vogue since the Council. A wise priest once said, "Don’t leap before knowing exactly where you are jumping from!" In this case – unless we are well-schooled in the Faith of our Fathers – we will be seduced into the changes which now assault the Mystical Body of Christ. How then do we remain thoroughly Catholic in heart, mind and soul? If we have ears to hear and eyes to see, the path is clear-cut.

Cretan Line

As faithful Roman Catholics we know and believe that the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is indefectible and that the gates of hell will not prevail against her. We embrace her entire doctrine, entrust ourselves to her prayer and her sacraments, and submit to her holy discipline, which is good and just in her sure and age-old tradition. We believe that outside the Catholic Church – the Spouse and Body of Christ – there is no salvation. Therefore, we abhor and reject all heresy and idolatry, particularly that of our modern age, which replaces worship of God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, with the cult of man – his reason, his liberty, his rights and the exaltation of humanity, i.e. the Modernism besetting the Church today. We reject all profanation of the Church’s teaching, particularly the blasphemies against Our Blessed Lady, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, her Immaculate Conception, her perpetual virginity, her glorious co-redemption and her universal mediation of all graces. Whilst we decry the profanation of the liturgy of the Holy Mass, we recognize Paul VI’s New Ordo (the Mass of the Pope and all the bishops) as lamentable, but valid. We reject all schism and separation from the Roman Catholic communion under any pretext whatsoever. We will not substitute the authority of any man (in matters of sacramental and canonical jurisdiction of supposed divine apostolic tradition) in the place of the sole sovereign and divine authority of the Pope now reigning and the bishops in communion with him. We recognize them as true pastors of the flock and will have none other. We swear them obedience according to the canons of the Church (but not in the abuse of their authority) for the worship of God and the salvation of souls, with the reservation of denouncing their perversity as is our duty to do. We recognize particularly Paul VI and John Paul II, in sympathy with Modernism, but nevertheless legitimate Popes. We have no alternative but to note and denounce the impious and devastating disorders amongst the highest authorities of the Church, declaring our position to be one of legitimate suspicion and withdrawal of obedience with regard to this so-called "reform" of the Church, until truth and justice be done in charity and according to God. (Either by dogmatic definitions accompanied by penalties pronounced by the Sovereign Pontiff in person or until truth is heard and justice done by a reparative Third Vatican Council, proclaiming with all the authority of their solemn Magisterium). We recognize that the very principles of Vatican II, "adaptation to the world", the "return to the Gospels", "Ecumenism" and "Secularism", are false. For this reason we cannot accept the fallible recommendations of the supposedly "Pastoral" Council, which led to disastrous consequences. We must always make a distinction in the case of Pope John Paul II, as to whether he is exercising his infallible Magisterium as Vicar of Christ – to which we submit entirely – or whether he is acting in his private capacity as "Pastoral Counselor", which, in the interests of the Church, we have reason to fear and reject. We profess the Catholic Faith in its entirety and we declare that there can be no conflict between faith and obedience, for the latter is inspired by the former. In cases where we must refuse an obedience unjustly demanded we appeal from the fallible instructions of a "Pastoral Council" (or a Pope in his capacity as a private teacher) to those infallible instructions of the Council (or to the Pope exercising his divine Magisterium).

These points in a nutshell, are what we need to know. They embody the Cretan Line between heresy and schism, mapped out by the Abbé de Nantes. Nowhere has this writer found a more concise description of what is required to keep the faith today. But without access to such pristine analyses, many loyal Catholics find themselves trapped in a conciliar straight-jacket. Many find it hard to believe that Vatican II texts actually taught error, yet most have no difficulty in discerning the obvious disorders which followed in the wake of the Council. Therefore some concrete examples have been selected here to illustrate just how these alien conciliar tenets have seeped down to us and are now being passed off as authentic teachings of the Church. These examples are not an exhaustive list, but many have a familiar ring of much that has been repeated to us since the Council.

A cautionary note is prudent in dealing with this subject… We may never judge the undeclared interior motives of any individual, prelate or pontiff (unless he declares his motives openly). If his teaching, actions and commands are out of step with unchangeable Catholic Tradition, the prelate may be resisted and his errors must be rejected. Forming a balanced judgment on such a prelate does not amount to condemning him. Only God, Who sees the heart, may judge a man’s motives.

The following revelations will be a rough ride for many a reader. It was distasteful too for this unworthy author to review scandal and disorientation, whilst trying to hold back a natural tide of indignation. The point is, when one is obliged to review and pinpoint error, this is not synonymous with a lack of respect for the hierarchy or their divinely instituted roles. Only Marxist dictators or tyrants forbid all criticism of their conduct or regimes. On the contrary and in our case, speaking out is necessary even in order to remain faithful to the Head of the Church, Our Lord Jesus Christ and for the salvation of souls – ours included.

Universal Salvation

The Second Vatican Council’s Gaudium et Spes No 22 1. taught, "By His incarnation, the Son of God has united Himself in some fashion with every man" (a totally new and unheard-of concept in Catholic doctrine). Observe the results. Pope John Paul II, in his address to the Roman Curia (21 Dec. 93) said, "God became man, so that man might become God. By virtue of the birth of the Son of God among men, every man is called in some way to become in Christ, Son of God. The Word incarnate, as the Apostle John tells us, gave us power to be made the sons of God. And if we are all Sons of God, we are all brothers. All!" (punctuation and emphasis are the Pope’s). But Saint John actually says the opposite, as follows: "… But as many as received him, he gave them the power to be made sons of God. To them that believe in his name." (Jn 1:12) "All" men therefore do not have this power. John Paul II habitually confuses (or fails to distinguish between) what is common to all creatures and what is proper only to those who have been effectively redeemed by God’s grace and thereby raised to the supernatural life. It is only through the supernatural life that we become "adoptive sons of God" and consequently "brothers and sisters", since becoming sons of the same Father.

If we accept the Council’s brand new idea that Christ, by His Incarnation, is somehow united with every man and, consequently, that all are brothers, the next logical step is "all are saved." Indeed, according to the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, at the Roman cemetery of Verano (Nov 1, 93) before 5,000 people, John Paul II said:

… It is a day when we are particularly close to those who have passed before us on this earth and are now standing before the throne of the Lamb. Their hearts are filled with the Glory of God… I would like to embrace in common prayer all the cemeteries of Rome and those who dwell there. Not only the departed of this city, which is called Eternal, but indeed the earth and all that is therein; all, wherever their earthly remains are laid… Christ’s redemptive sacrifice embraces them all… Who are these people and where do they come from? From every place; (Ap 1:13,14). They have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb. At present they are standing before You.

There was not one word on the faithful departed, simply all the departed who have all washed their clothes in the Blood of the Lamb, inferring they are all saved. The following quote, also from Apocalypse (which was never mentioned at Verano) contradicts the heresy of universal salvation; "Blessed are they that wash their clothes in the blood of the Lamb; that they may have a right to the tree of life and may enter in by the gates into the city. Outside of which are dogs, sorcerers and unchaste, and murderers and servers of idols, and every one that loves and makes a lie." (Ap 22:14,15) The truth is simple. Not all are saved – many are damned.

After Vatican II this "all" was subtly drafted into the reformed liturgy. Christ’s Own Words for the Consecration of the wine were changed from "for you and for many" in the Latin, to "for you and for all" in the vernacular Novus Ordo versions. Sacred Scripture distinctly states "for you and for many." Our Lord never said "all" are called and "all" are chosen, but the spirit of the Council is teaching that notion.

Ecumenism

L’Osservatore Romano reported (21 Sept. 93) on Pope John Paul II at the Lutheran Cathedral at Riga in a common "ceremony" with 16 Lutheran and Orthodox "bishops," where he said:

Christians are supposedly divided by choices – not always well thought out – made in a past which is now wholly regretted. We know full well that in the economy of salvation, where sin and everything which incites to sin abounds, grace superabounds. It is always God, who with an infinite patience, reconstructs the fabric of human history woven by his love every time it is torn through sin.

John Paul II affirms that ecumenical modernism is good, whereas the opposite attitude of the past is deplorable and sinful. In saying this, he makes no distinction between the truly deplorable and sinful actions of those who separate from Christ’s One Church through heresy and schism, and the attitude of the Church herself, who defended herself and her children from heresy and schism. Responsibility is attributed to both sides, as though in the case of a murder, responsibility was as much the victim’s as the assassin’s.

During the same Riga interview, Pope John Paul II said, "At the end of this Second Millennium, we must surely make an examination of conscience in ‘where have we deviated from the Gospel?’" To whom does this "we" refer? Karol Wojtyla? Vatican II? The private miseries of the people? Or to 2000 years of the Catholic Church’s history, doctrine and practice? The obvious meaning of this inference would be that the Church is not indefectible or has failed in her mission to spread the Gospel.

John Paul II revealed in his Apostolic Letter on the Millennium that "…the Church should become more fully conscious to recall all those times in history when they" (her past members) "departed from the Spirit of Christ and his Gospel" (and committed) "…forms of counter witness and scandal. Among the sins which require a greater commitment to repentance and conversion should certainly be counted those which have been detrimental to the unity willed by God for his People… ecclesial communion has been painfully wounded, a fact ‘for which, at times, men of both sides were to blame.’" (The Pope’s end quote comes directly from the Council’s Decree on Ecumenism 3)

Again at Riga, John Paul II said "Invoked by Christ at the last supper and many times broken by his disciples in the course of history, unity is ever daily becoming a common aspiration and commitment fraternally shared by so many Christians." Yet Pope Pius IX already condemned the false notion that the prayer of Jesus Christ (Jn 17:21) had not been heard, since the Church is divided. John Paul II claims unity was broken by unidentified disciples and goes so far in this case, as to compare divisions today "among Christians." Actually, the division is between Catholics and heretics.

Further on ecumenism, in the course of his address to the U.S. bishops of Nevada, Hawaii and California (4 Dec. 93) Pope John Paul II said:

The Church in thanksgiving to God, recognizes that the Holy Spirit ‘Who shows the ways that lead to the union of Christians’ (Dominum et Vivificantem Second Vatican Council), has given life to the new way of behaving amongst divided Christians. Guided by your country’s long struggle for religious freedom and tolerance, American Catholics have enriched the Church’s ecumenical movement.

To attribute to the USA a leading role in the struggle for religious freedom and tolerance, is to recognize the Protestant and Masonic origin of the supposed rights. To attribute false ecumenism to the Holy Spirit is blasphemous. True ecumenism means converting souls into the One True Faith. Yet the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, defines ecumenism as follows: "In that humility which respects the other, even though compatibility in doctrine and Church practice is still not achieved, in the common movement, ecumenism consists in a readiness to learn from the other and letting ourselves be corrected by the other’s spiritual riches." How could the Seat of Truth, the Church of Christ, learn from and be corrected by heretics? How can there be "respect" for heresy and schism – in other words, sin? For it is as heretics and schismatics that the Protestant sects and the Orthodox are distinct from us.

Pope John Paul II often says "ecumenism is irreversible", despite the fact that conversions to the Roman Catholic Church have plummeted since the Council along with the apostasy of millions of souls who left her after Vatican II. Indeed, if this situation is not reversed, even those left in the Church will be so thoroughly protestantized that most will be Catholic in name only.

Pagans

The following papal quote comes from Tertio Millennio Adveniente and is referenced to the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council – Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions – Nostra Aetate… "With sincere esteem, the Church clearly regards the elements of Truth found in those religions as a reflection of the Truth which enlightens all men and women." What does this "reflection of the Truth" mean? Reflections are mirror images. Look at the word Truth in the mirror and you see hturT! Reflections are deceptive. A "reflection of the Truth" is confusing, since even the most successful lies usually have an element of truth at the core, thereby appearing rather plausible. Truth specifically, by its very nature, must be unadulterated and undistorted. St. John says that whoever "continues not in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God (Truth)… if any man comes to you and brings not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, nor say to him God speed you. For he that says to him God speed you, communicates with his wicked works." (2 Jn 9-11) The Old Testament was explicit; "All the gods of the heathens are demons." (Ps 95,5) Yet pursuant to reports in L’Osservatore Romano (23 Nov. 93 and 22 Feb. 94) we read about pastoral attention towards "traditional religions." There is no trace of "traditional religions" (formerly called "pagan" or "idolatrous") anywhere in Sacred Scriptures or in the Church’s pre-conciliar teachings. But now, as these reports state, "certain terms, for example, pagan or fetishism, convey a negative meaning. A positive name is needed (Traditional, Popular or Indigenous Religions) obviously, to describe religions no longer regarded by the conciliarists as idolatrous. The post-conciliar Church comes up with the explanation that these supposed ex-pagans "generally have a clear belief in One God" (!) despite believing in spirits called gods, or divinities and ancestors. The report explains that "fear of evil spirits is at the source of many acts of worship." Saint Paul said "the things which the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God." (1 Cor 10:20)

Inculturation

The post-conciliar attempts at "inculturation" under the presumption that all cultures have the same possibility of being harmonized with Christianity, is the neo-modernist error condemned by Pope Pius IX in Humani Generis. Christianity is not subject to one culture, since it is universal. Even so, God chose one people – the Hebrews – to entrust with His Revelation. God chose Rome to be the Seat of His Vicar on earth. The Church is Roman. To pretend the Church is Native Indian, Bantu or Polynesian, when she is Roman, does not conform to the Will of God. But now indigenous pagan symbols and practices have been incorporated into local churches under the pretext of "inculturation" (for example, North American Indian totems or medicine wheels and sweat lodge rituals, or African sacred fires lit in the Sanctuary, mother-earth in the Holy Water fonts and tribal dancing performed during the Liturgy). The result of "inculturation" is the "repaganization" of peoples already converted to Catholicism, with the results seen in Rwanda. In Africa, the majority of Christians now attend Mass as well as their traditional cults.

Religious Freedom

During an interview in La Stampa (2 Nov. 93) John Paul II spoke of the "defense of the human person and of his rights. And I have done nothing but insistently repeat and recall that it is a principle to be observed; the principle of religious freedom above all, but not only that! – also all other freedoms due to the human person." The exact opposite was taught by all pre-conciliar popes and councils. For example, Pope Pius IX warned:

From their totally false notion of social government, they fear not to uphold that erroneous opinion, most pernicious to the Catholic Church and to souls, which was called by Our Predecessor Gregory XVI ‘the insanity’ (encyclical 13 Aug. 1832) namely, that liberty of conscience and worship is the peculiar (or inalienable) right of every man, which should be proclaimed by law, and that citizens have the right to all kinds of liberty; to be restrained by no laws, whether ecclesiastical or civil, by which they may be enabled to manifest openly and publicly their ideas.

Human Dignity

In his address to the U.S. bishops (4 Dec. 94), John Paul II referred yet again to the "inalienable dignity of all human beings." This conciliar notion is a sophism. Human dignity is not "inalienable" – human nature is inalienable.

Pope Leo XIII taught us correctly in Immortale Dei: "The intellect and the will that adhere to evil, fall from their native dignity and are corrupted". St. Thomas Aquinas taught that with sin, man falls from dignity. Sin includes Original Sin, in which all men have been conceived (with the exception of Our Lord Jesus and His Blessed Mother Mary).

Pope John Paul II often emphasizes the phrase that each human being is "made in the image and likeness of God". However, these words from Genesis, most accurately describe Adam and Eve before the Fall, as their souls and not their bodies, were made in this way. None of us therefore, (except for Immaculate Mary) is naturally predisposed towards virtue. The truth is we are all, as the consequence of Original Sin, predisposed towards evil. This was what the Church always taught before Vatican II; but now, as the result of the Council’s optimism, we are being taught that humanity is naturally drawn towards the Truth. Hence, the path to Heaven (penance and expiation) and the existence of Hell, are down-played and forgotten. In other words, we do not have to worry about Hell, because we are naturally drawn towards Heaven and the Truth. Before the Council, we never heard anything in papal teaching about the "transcendental quality of the human person" as we do nowadays. What does this phrase mean? We only "transcend" ourselves after death, when our souls are released from our bodies. Our transcendence is strictly limited to our ascent up to Heaven (via Purgatory usually) or our descent down to Hell – and once in there, we have no power or "transcendental quality of man" to get ourselves out, ever. Only God is "transcendental" in the proper sense.

Fear of God

Vatican II ideology reveals an obsessive focus on man’s dignity and man’s rights. We are even told that procured abortion is evil because it compromises the dignity of the human person. But what about God’s rights for a change? We long to hear our Pope preach that abortion offends God and is a mortal sin against God – that it breaks the Laws of God and violates the rights of God (not Man). Instead, we are now taught that abortion is a sin against Man; against Man’s Rights and Human Dignity. If we fear sinning against fellow creatures more than sinning against our Creator, we have plunged down the vortex of a diabolical inversion. "Fear of-the-Lord" is after all, one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. A salutary "fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Prov 1:7) but a filial fear increases with the increase of true charity or love. The more a soul loves God, the more it will fear offending Him. The void of both filial and salutary fear of God, is a hallmark of this presumptuous ego-centric modern cult.

Public Apology

During the Consistory (13, 14 June 94) called to set plans for the "Great Jubilee", John Paul II’s address to the Cardinals mentioned the following faults which he attributed to members of the Church: "Her people who have acted in a certain sense in her name" – that is, the Crusades, wars of religion and the Inquisition presided over by the Pope. Yet these actions were committed not only "in the name of the Church", but on the order and by the will and encouragement of the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit. In committing these "sins against Christ and against the Gospel", as John Paul II describes them, the faithful were following the directives of the Church and many were canonized for it. If John Paul II is right, the Church has distanced Herself from the Gospel for 2000 years, and, far from being an instrument of salvation, has been an obstacle to eternal life – no longer faithful to Her master, but, as the heretics claim – unfaithful and deviant. When Saint Louis set out on the Crusade; when Pope Saint Pius V took the initiative to wage a holy war; or when Saint Charles pursued heretics, they were not doing so because they were "sinners", but because they were faithful to the commands of the Church.

As for apologizing for whatever sins our ancestors actually committed – these cannot be transmitted to us like Original Sin! Not even Christ pretended to be guilty when He was innocent. Besides, no Pope can claim vicarious responsibility for those not under his pastoral care. Yet the unbelievers now have the Vicar of Christ apologizing for events in history for which no one alive today is responsible and, likewise, for which nobody today suffered. Why must we be urged to insult our heroic Catholic sailors and missionaries; all our colonizers, doctors and planters, without whom the One True Faith would never have reached the outposts of civilization? Why should we be encouraged to spit upon the graves of our forebears and all our tortured, violated, impaled and eaten brothers, who met martyrdom at the hands of savages or Marxist terrorists and "freedom fighters"? No amount of modern mea maxima culpas will ever placate the enemies of our religion in this macabre exercise of public humiliation which, in light of the true history of the Church, is not only unwarranted, unseemly, but scandalizing to the faithful.

Protestant Martyrs?

Speaking of martyrs, our conciliar Popes have a new theory. Paul VI pointed out in his homily for the canonization of the Ugandan Martyrs: "The witness to Christ borne even to the shedding of blood has become a common inheritance to Catholic, Orthodox, Anglicans and Protestants". Following in his footsteps, John Paul II, in his address to the Consistory (13, 14 June 94) said: "There are so many martyrs in the non-Catholic Churches, Protestants, too many to include in a contemporary perspective." Yet this appears to contradict the great martyr Saint Cyprian, who wrote: "One cannot be a martyr without being in the Church." St. Augustine, Doctor of the Church, wrote: "Established outside the Church, separated from Her unity and charity, you would be punished with eternal torment, even though you were burned alive in Christ’s Name."

Pope Paul VI

Obviously, the theories about Protestant martyrs are not the only views shared between Paul VI and John Paul II. At Brescia (9 Oct 93) John Paul II revealed: "My illustrious predecessor, who from my first encyclical, I wished to recognize as my true father. Paul VI was an authentic gift from the Lord to His church and to all humanity."

Yet, Paul VI could not be considered a "Marian" Pope. When he popped into Fatima on 13 May, 1967 for the 50th anniversary, he refused to stay overnight, refused Sr. Lucia’s pleadings to speak with her, refused to go a few paces over to the Chapel of the Apparitions, refused to say one "Hail Mary" – not one – (can be verified by watching a videotape of the entire proceedings). Instead, Paul VI recited this strange litany to the Cult of Man:

"Men, make yourselves worthy of the divine gift of peace,
Men, be men,
Men, be good, be wise, be open to the interests of the general well-being of the world.
Men be generous…
Men, begin to come close to one another in your desire to build a new world,
Yes, a world of true men,
Which can never come about without the sun of God shining upon its horizon".

Indeed, this is no different from what is preached from every Masonic lodge in the world. What an insult to Our Lady of Fatima! One wonders what She thought of Paul VI giving to the Turks, the symbol of Her Victory at Lepanto which had rested in Her honor in Rome for over 400 years. Did not Her Rosary save all Europe from the invading Moslems? In like manner, Paul VI was also apparently inspired to give away to the United Nations General Assembly the symbol of the Papacy – our-triple crown, together with the papal crosier and his papal ring. (The Pope’s Triple Crown was last heard of about 25 years ago, after having been apparently procured by jewelers Levin & Son of Chicago – according to a subsequent claim in the late Hamish Fraser’s Approaches).

Paul VI’s spiritual son, John Paul II, did no better than his mentor in 1981 on his trip to Fatima. He did not quote a single complete line spoken by Our Lady of Fatima. Even the prayer of the Angel was truncated. The Pope merely said, "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you" and omitted the other half, "And I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope in and do not love Thee."

He also did not disclose the little 20-line Third Revelation. He did not consecrate Russia with all his bishops to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And since his spiritual father had disposed of the Papal Crown, there was no tiara for John Paul II’s coronation during his investiture. He wears a mitre – the Bishop of Rome – one amongst many (although he alone has the Power of the Keys). Instead of the Shepherd’s Crook, we now have to endure a frightening symbol next to the Pope… Atop a long rod, we see a hideous crucifix with an emaciated, weak Man hanging there – terrible to behold. It is a skinned corpse – a picture of despair – evoking despair in the onlookers, with no sign of His Divinity. Oddly, the arms both point north towards the head, in contrast to a traditional Catholic Crucifix, which shows Christ’s arms pointing east and west, whilst His head and feet point north and south to cover all directions and the whole earth.

This malformed papal cross is not "modern art" either; not is it just a matter of "taste". It is simply grotesque. The Majestic Image on the Holy Shroud is truly the antithesis of the brazen travesty of this cross.

New Catechism

Obviously, the conciliar legacy is not merely watered-down Christianity, but an alien departure from what the Church has always taught for nineteen and a half centuries. The New (so-called) Catechism of the Catholic Church is riddled with the "old" faith being mixed up with the "new" ideology. Take #591 for example, which explains the "Sanhedrin’s tragic misunderstanding of Jesus"… (when they orchestrated His Death!) Really? So it was a "tragic misunderstanding of Jesus" then? In other words… If only Jesus had not asked His compatriots for more than they could understand… If only Jesus had explained Himself better… In their efforts to be ecumenical and to exonerate the Jews, the authors imply it is Jesus’ fault the poor Pharisees did not understand. The truth is that Caiphas and his synod understood Jesus perfectly. The divinely instituted hierarchy of the Old Covenant knew Jesus was the Messiah, but being so perverse, the majority hated Him and plotted to kill Jesus. Indeed, if the members of the Sanhedrin were victims of a "tragic misunderstanding", Christ would never have called them vipers and sons of Satan.

Yet this sort of ecumenical heresy (even blasphemy) is so subtle that the average trusting soul just swallows it without realizing that the effects of arsenic poisoning are cumulative. Now, are we going to talk about this supposed "tragic misunderstanding of Jesus" on Mount Sinai for the great monotheistic Jubilee jamboree "in the spirit of Assisi"?

Year 2000

In the course of his presentation for the "Year 2000", the pontiff writes in Tertio Millennio Adveniente that "many people may have held in good faith that an authentic witness to the truth, could include suppressing the opinions of others, or at least paying no attention to them." These "many people" he refers to include all pre-conciliar Popes and Saints! Nowadays, Rome’s "authentic witness to the truth" hypocritically suppresses the "opinions" of millions of sincere traditional Catholics and pays "no attention" to them, whilst running after the Protestant sects, the Moslems, Buddhists, Hindus, Animists, the State of Israel, United Nations and all other comers.

As secular millennium hype builds up, Rome is publicizing the "Great Jubilee." The official Vatican logo shows a conglomeration of doves clustered together into a sphere at its centre. Reminiscent of the Olympic Games logo, the different colored doves obviously represent all the continents and peoples of the world incorporated into a peaceful global amalgamation. This visual concept could represent the intent to convert the entire human race to the One True Church. On the other hand, this logo design could dovetail perfectly into the profane one-world-system.

On Guard

After the fall of Christendom, democracy and communism have been used as two goads to herd humanity towards enslavement in a One World Order. Since the Council, the Church has been subjected to both techniques – in certain areas democratized and in others, tyrannical demands for conformity without the Charity-of-Christ, have prevailed.

Vatican II not only ushered in a new religion, but a new way of governing the Church. The laity were empowered at the expense of downgrading the unique and sacred powers of the priesthood. And bishops, by means of their newly-found collegiality and national conferences, had the ability to trespass on the power of Rome. In Tertio Millennio Adveniente John Paul II claims: "During the Council… the Church… rediscovered episcopal collegiality". This is not true. Collegiality was not "rediscovered" since this phenomenon never previously existed, even in Apostolic times. Collegiality was invented by Vatican II – designed to weaken the Petrine authority of Peter. Collegiality is a complete fabrication. As a result of this democratic development, the episcopate is now tempted to rival Rome to such an extent that (in North America for example) it has been suggested the liberal Church dioceses are in a state of undeclared or informal schism.

Our shepherds have been exhorting us lately to be "docile" and "obedient" in order to discern the "ways of the Spirit" apparently leading us towards a "New Springtime" for the "Year 2000". But is not "obedience" the club raw Roman power has wielded since the Council, to demand uniformity at the expense of true Catholic unity? The callous suppression of our patrimony, the Classical Roman Liturgy, is one example of postconciliar tyranny. Now we, in the English-speaking countries of the world, have been apparently selected as the first to be subjected to the imminent "last phase" of the conciliar "reform of the liturgy" program. Who will tell us whether the coming "Ordo Simplex" which is to replace the Novus Ordo Missae is not perhaps going to be a very "simple" worship service, devoid of Divine Content? If the poor "docile" sheep are not nourished, they shall "simply" starve "obediently". Let us be on our guard. Of course obedience and docility are noble virtues, but when subverted into mere servitude and cowardice, they become vice. Vigilance is necessary to discern whether calls for obedience and docility are licit or manipulative, since these were the very same goads used to prod the sheep into tasting the forbidden fruit of the Council.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them". (Mt 1:15,16)

Pope John XXIII promised us "Aggiornamento" and a "New Pentecost" with Vatican II. We had instead the great apostasy.

Part 3

Conciliarism vs. Tradition

The term "conciliarism" is used here to describe contemporary pseudo-Catholicism which, like a chimera, was unleashed by the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council. What then is the essence and purpose of the conciliar religion? As previously reviewed in some detail, the essence of conciliarism constitutes a body of evolving teachings, theology, doctrine and practice, which is contrary to authentic traditional Catholicism. And its purpose is to provide a vehicle, disguised under a Catholic veneer, to animate the realm of a New World Order. In a word, Conciliarism was crafted to serve as the Movement for the Spiritual Animation of Universal Democracy.

Tradition, on the other hand, is defined as the revealed truths of faith and morals, given by Christ or the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, and faithfully transmitted from them to us, via the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Traditionalism in general is the transmission of Catholic theology, doctrine and practice, by a successive series of teachers or witnesses, whose testimony is contained in their spoken words, actions and writings. The handing down of these truths, as well as the truths themselves, is called "tradition." To claim that we are other that traditional Catholics is to state that we are not Catholic at all. But since Vatican II, "traditionalist" has become an epithet and a pejorative term. It is worth noting that in Dante’s "Inferno", those souls who perverted language were condemned to swim in their own excrement for all eternity. To divorce tradition from custom, as the conciliarists have done, is to divorce faith from practice, to separate Christ’s teachings from His actions, to consider the Apostles and their immediate descendants as inferior to ourselves in wisdom and to refuse the Truth its legitimate manner of expression.

Saint Paul says, "See to it that no one deceives you by philosophy and vain deceit, according to human traditions, according to the elements of the world and not according to Christ." (Col 2:8) St. Paul also warns, "And we charge you brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition received from us." (2 Thess 3:6) When conciliarists accuse faithful traditional Catholics of being "divisive", they ignore this Scripture and fail to admit that their institutionalized neo-modernism has divided the flock and decimated the sheepfold. As for "conservative" Catholicism, which helps to sustain the liberal monopoly of power by its vacillating apathy and antipathy towards Traditionalism, there is only this to say… "conservatives" stand for nothing and fall for everything, since they are "neither hot nor cold"…

New World Order

Why is conciliarism indispensable to the New World Order? As the Movement for the Spiritual Animation of Universal Democracy, it forms one of the mainstays for a One World system. Since a single-legged New Order will falter, it requires two supports – one political/governmental and the other spiritual/ecclesial. Therefore, this nascent, ecumenical, universal religion is to be the "spirit" of the body-politic. In order to succeed, the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic faith had to be harnessed, undermined and convincingly misrepresented. It is not enough after all to govern men’s bodies. Their hearts and souls must be under control also. Now the Utopian stage is set with the necessary props in place. The melting pot includes rampant heresy, schism, apostasy and scandal in the postconciliar Church, which coincides with the meltdown of secular society everywhere. This global disarray conforms exactly to the blueprint for a new world order – so diabolic in conception, it could only have been spawned by Hell. No wonder Pope Leo XIII fainted when confronted with this future specter.

Synagogue of Satan

Indeed, before the end of Leo XIII’s reign, the infamous Eiffel Tower was erected in Paris to serve as a monument to the coming One World Order. This intent is obvious in its design, with four legs – which represent the North, South, East and the West – being brought together into a single dominant spire. Few Catholics are aware that this new Masonic Tower of Babel was satanically dedicated in a vile clandestine ceremony with four consecrated Hosts buried in containers under the foundation of each quadrant. Providentially, as the result of a deathbed plea by a repentant perpetrator, the Parisian hierarchy exhumed and retrieved the four desecrated Hosts and subsequently built a church in reparation for this sacrilege.

Significantly, France donated the monolithic and Masonic Mother-of-Liberty statue to America, which itself boasts a Masonic Great Seal heralding the "Novus Ordo Seclorum" (sic). However, the misspelling of "Seculorum" does not alter the proclamation of a New Order for the Ages. It is no accident the streets of Washington D.C. include the compass and the square when viewed from the air. These carefully laid plans were long in the making and predated the Illuminati and even the official opening of the first Grand Lodge in England in 1717. In fact, this Mystery of Iniquity is traceable through the secret societies and the corrupted Knights Templars – all the way back to the Pharisees of old who fled from Jerusalem. Once in Babylon, these sworn enemies of Christ became adepts of the occult lore in the Kabbalah, created the Talmud and evolved into a destabilizing political force inimical to Christendom.

Notwithstanding its disputed authorship, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion do reveal accurate details of a Judeo-Masonic conspiracy for world domination. This ambitious plan could not succeed without the satanic dislocation of Christianity, the martyrdom of its rulers and the subversion of clerical power at all levels of the Catholic Church. However, Rome was aware of the danger long before a copy of the Protocols came providentially into the hands of the papacy last century. Over the past 150 years, we have benefited from numerous Papal warnings against the true aims of the Secret Societies. There were over a dozen official condemnations of Freemasonry promulgated by our preconciliar Popes; the most explicit being Leo XIII’s Encyclical Letter Humanum Genum in 1884, the year after his horrifying vision of the future. Pope Pius IX called Judeo-Freemasonry "The Synagogue of Satan" as even the Holy Name of "Jesus" uttered only once in a Masonic Lodge, requires its immediate closure and rites of "purification". But considering the fact that Conciliarism facilitates the stranglehold of Freemasonry in the world today, the silence of our post-conciliar popes on this subject is peculiar. More odd, is the public inclusion of two 32nd Degree Masons in the honor guard for the American Cardinal Joseph Bernardin at his funeral service. These men, according to Paul A. Fisher’s Behind the Lodge Door, have all sworn an oath against "the cruel and cowardly Pontiff" before trampling a replica of the Papal Triple Crown underfoot whilst shouting "Down with Imposture! Down with crime!" This fanatical anti-Catholicism is demanded of all candidates duped into the 30th Degree (Knights Kadosh) of the Scottish Rite. The 32nd Degree teaches that "Masonry will eventually rule the world." Since all "Shriners" have descended past the 30th Degree to the 32nd Degree, we are not hoodwinked by their "bread and circuses". Catholic men who sell out and join Freemasonry are excommunicated ipso facto. Yet how is it possible that the grand mastermind behind the Novus Ordo, Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, was posthumously exposed as a member of the Lodge? Indeed, this "work of human hands" has brought about not only a schism in the Church, but also an apostasy. The mere crumbs offered to Almighty God in the new "Offertory" (actually the words of the Jewish mealtime grace) – in place of a Saving Victim, gives us yet another sign of this post-conciliar contraction of Sanctifying Grace, which resulted in a universal hemorrhage of the Faith.

Was it not all foretold by the Third Secret of Fatima? Is that why it has been concealed from us in defiance of Our Lady’s command to make the contents known to the whole Church and to the world in 1960 at the latest?

The Antidote

It is no excuse to pretend that Fatima was mere "private revelation", as this message was not meant for a few people, but was a prophecy given by God through His Mother, the Queen of All Prophets, for the Church and the entire world. It was authenticated by the accurately predicted public Miracle of the Sun – that unprecedented prodigy of the greatest magnitude since the Resurrection. The preconciliar Church’s approval confirmed the Virgin Mary came to Fatima. The little seers’ words have proved correct. Consequently, there is no doubt that Our Lady said she would triumph; that the Pope would consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart and that a period of true peace would be given to humanity. Obedience to Our Blessed Lady of Fatima is the antidote for the ills ("errors of Russia") now spread throughout the world and permeating the Church. Yet Pope John Paul II has not made the Papal and Episcopal Consecration of Russia, nor has he published the Third Secret. His 1984 Consecration of the World, with less than a quarter of the bishops, made no mention of "Russia" (which has remained unconverted).

The Holy Father’s co-operation depends on his own free will. Moreover, he has the personal authority to order his bishops to comply with him – or face penalties. It is a question of when he (or his successor) is given the grace… During this impasse, should we consider it futile to strive for an infallible judgment on Vatican II? By no means! God works through His Church. A powerful manifestation of this fact could be illustrated by an ex-cathedra judgment on Vatican II – made by a pope who, up to that time, had been an ardent supporter of the Council. It all depends upon whether God gives us the grace to proceed. A legal case, filed by a bishop against the errors of the Council, requires a solemn judgment. It is not a matter for papal free will, but a matter for the laws of the Church. Since the texts of this "Pastoral" Council are fallible, the Pontiff cannot infallibly decree that Vatican II documents are free of errors. The Council either taught error, or it did not – a simple Ex-Cathedra Judgment will expose the Truth! The conciliar citadel will succumb to this single blow. Whenever God allows us this grace, the revolution or apostasy in the Church, will be over. Conciliarism will implode without the "authority" of its fallible Pastoral Council. If an ex-cathedra challenge is well-publicized (although exceedingly vexatious to the Vatican bureaucracy), this would have the effect of alerting people to the truth and of potentially saving many souls in the interim. The stakes could not be higher, but it is a win-win situation. There is nothing to fear with an infallible ex-cathedra decree, no matter what the Pontiff’s philosophy happens to be, since the Holy Spirit will protect Peter from shipwreck, in spite of himself if necessary. Indeed, the Vicar of Christ, so frail now at the brink of eternity, should be given the opportunity to right the ship.

"But give me leave, O king, and I will kill the dragon without sword or club. And the king said, I give you leave. Then Daniel took pitch, and fat, and hair, and boiled them together; and he made lumps and put them into the dragon’s mouth, and the dragon burst asunder. And he said: Behold him whom you worshipped." (Dan 14:25,26) The medicine is somewhat different today, but this ex-cathedra judgment would have the same effect on our apocalyptic dragon.

Who will be our Daniel? Priests and laity can only submit appeals to Rome, but the Princes of the Church have the right and the power to obtain an official definitive judgment on Vatican II. One bishop (or archbishop, or cardinal) is all it would take… Where are such men to be found? The Three Wise Men came from the East… Now, as we celebrate the Anniversary of Christ’s Birth 2000 years ago, maybe we shall be blessed with the appearance of inspired ecclesial Princes in place of the Kings of old. And since there were real shepherds summoned during the first Advent, perhaps some of our good Shepherds will be sent by the Angels to teach us once again to adore God-made-Man, instead of man-made-god.

Double-edged Sword

This Cult-of-Man has impaled our Roman Catholic Church by means of a double-edged sword. On the one hand, we are subjected to conciliarism by erroneous doctrine and phony teachings – examples of which have previously been cited. On the other, we endure the legacy of conciliarism in its practical, pastoral effects. Although a depressing list, the following summary of facts is included here as an integral part of our pressing need for an ex-cathedra judgment on Vatican II.

"Renewal"

The glorious "Renewal" of the Church after the Council, is constantly referred to by the hierarchy in glowing terms as a smashing success, which has already happened. There cannot be any disagreement here with the two words "smashing" and "happened." The fact is that after Vatican II, our beautiful churches have been sacked or sold off. Our seraphic music is gone. Conciliar modern art is "tacky" or often ugly. A new wave of iconoclasm broke out with the removal and destruction of not only realistically inspiring paintings, crucifixes and statues, but also priceless libraries, sacred vessels, vestments and Relics of the Saints. Most recently, few Catholics realize that the main altar in the apse of St. Peters in Rome was demolished. This magnificent marble Altar of the Chair of Peter, directly below the Window of the Holy Spirit, was jack-hammered into rubble nearly five years ago. Second only in rank to the papal altar, this venerable masterpiece no longer exists, whilst the Chair of Peter juts out above a flat wall. The archpriest presiding over the basilica, Cardinal Virgilio Noe, has not explained this wanton desecration of our patrimony (nor why the traditional Latin Mass is officially banned in St. Peters.) Yet even if St. Peters was razed and replaced with a glass pyramid, being only an edifice, this would not compare to the intensely more devastating effects of the destruction and replacement of the Roman Rite. Indeed, the spiritual iconoclasm of Vatican II became manifest beyond mere vandalism – it cleared the way for contemporary pseudo-Catholicism.

Conforming to this universal fiasco after the Council, Catholic hospitals and convent schools were shut down, sold or turned over to the State. Catholic universities and seminaries are now hotbeds of secular humanism, rationalism, naturalism and modernism. Catechesis has gone to pot and all manner of license and perversion is taught via sex-education programs to our children in so-called Catholic schools. The fact is, during the reign of Paul VI alone, one third of our ordained priests were laicised. Nuns likewise, stampeded out of religious life. Vocations have dwindled. As the membership of our great religious orders (which were flourishing before the Council) dies out, we continue to live off the capital invested from our pre-conciliar past, through our senescent corps of geriatric priests and nuns. Consequently, the Mass is vanishing from vast regions due to the acute shortage of parish priests. Missionary activity is now largely social work. The new ecumenical altruism does not "violate" the "rights" of non-Christians, who now die by the thousands in Catholic hospices without baptism. The Spiritual Works of Mercy are subordinated to the Corporal Works of Mercy. Service to Man now comes before devotion to God, as the Sovereign Individual supplants the Sovereign Lord.

With the collapse of religious life, we experienced the collapse of family life. Divorce figures sky-rocketed. Annulments were encouraged for frivolous reasons. Of those families left intact, many are limited in size by either artificial or natural birth control methods. We have been neutered both medically and spiritually. As a result of Vatican II, our generation now mainly consists of grandparents, who knew their Catholic Faith; their "kids" who knew some of the Faith; and their grandchildren, the "kids" of today, who know next to nothing about their religion. Whilst our senior population had access to a wholly sound pre-conciliar spiritual formation, the majority of their descendants under the age of fifty, largely failed to pass on even that percentage of the Faith, which they were taught. Handicaps such as vincible and invincible ignorance have grown from epidemic to pandemic proportions under the reign of the conciliar Church. Catechetical malnutrition has dulled our spiritual wits. For example in the English-speaking world, it must be an endless source of diabolic glee nowadays when Catholic parents do not recoil from acknowledging their children as "kids." Why have we been subtly habituated into labeling our little ones and our teenagers as progeny of goats? Certainly as God’s creatures, goats provide us with necessary resources. Yet Christ singled them out to symbolize the damned, because goats are much more difficult to control than sheep. Devil worshipping ritual is riddled with goat symbols. We even see hordes of children at rock concerts, fists raised with two outer fingers extended – the sign of the goat horns – foolishly giving a salute in homage to Satan! Who will enlighten them? Do our conciliar shepherds strive to warn their flocks against the demonic or against Hell? Seldom, if ever, nowadays. Sins of omission have no handy scapegoat. With mediocre pastors, the sheep and the lambs are lost. Our poor "kids," repeatedly predestined by that moniker, are mostly unshriven today and ill-equipped for Eternity. What will be the fate of our generation at the Last Judgment when Christ, the Lamb of God, separates the sheep from the goats?

Alas! Our negligent pastors and shepherds must give an account to God for every soul, whether baptized or not, within the boundaries of their parishes and dioceses. On the contrary – since Vatican II, those truly conscientious and devotional priests, who resisted the onslaught of Conciliarism, were ruthlessly brow-beaten in the name of "obedience" and condemned to a dry martyrdom or banished. The ongoing harassment of Fr. Nicholas Gruner (of the Fatima Crusader), is one example of surreptitious malfeasance and an audacious abuse of power by our Vatican bureaucrats and their accomplices.

Another well-known case of relentless and unjust maltreatment, is that of the Abbé Georges de Nantes (of La Contre-Réforme Catholique) and his communities over the past 30 years. To this day Rome is mute and refuses to judge the Abbé’s conciliar accusations or to permit him any defense in court, whilst allowing calumnies to circulate against him and the CRC. Fr. Gruner and the Abbé de Nantes have not been successfully crushed, but consistent clerical persecution has nevertheless taken a heavy toll on the vestige number of orthodox priests who have managed to survive in our age. These men suffer a lonely crucifixion. Indeed, their plight is more poignant, but no less excruciating than that of the faithful (including brothers, sisters and laity), who abhor the Cult of Man and are struggling heroically to practice their Faith today.

Before the Council statistics showed that over 80% of all Catholics were practising and attending Mass on Sundays. However since the Novus Ordo was imposed, Mass attendance declined sharply to the point today where barely 17% of a billion Catholics worldwide, are going to church regularly. Only 5% of these few now attend regular Confession. Yet nearly everyone lines up, unshriven, for the Eucharist without fear of sacrilege. The majority no longer receive Holy Communion on their knees and on the tongue, but take Jesus in hand as they please. "Receiving" has become a bold act of "taking" in our stand-up, answer-up, man-oriented new "worship services". Belief in the Real Presence is consequently being lost. The sense of Sacrifice, reverence, mystery, beauty, contemplative prayer and humble adoration has disappeared. The People of God do instead, as their ill-formed consciences dictate. It is no wonder when conciliar spirituality consists of liberty, fraternity and equality – that un-holy trinity of democracy. Yet democracy is an illusion. That word should be changed to "demon-ocracy", because mankind is thereby enslaved to their elected rulers – mostly knaves – who fear neither God nor hellfire (men such as Bubba, the American Beelze-bubba).

The grand architects of the stark "reformed" Roman Liturgy showed no such apprehension when the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (with "altar, Host, chalice, priest and acolytes") was shelved by the concept of the Eucharist as a "Meal" (replete with "table, bread, cup, presider and now serviettes"). Although the Classical Roman Rite was never abrogated, this traditional Latin Mass-of-the-Ages was indeed suppressed and replaced by the reformers. By thus contradicting and violating Pope Saint Pius V’s Bull Quo Primum Tempore, our shepherds ignored the effects of the penalty decreed therein, namely "the wrath of Almighty God and of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul". But the good God is not mocked ad nauseam. In due course, by His chosen means, Our Lord Jesus Christ will certainly free His Church from this "renewal" and the conciliar "spring-time".

Assisi to Sinai

It should come as no surprise to us then, if the coming camel caravan to Sinai proved to be the last ecumenical straw to try God’s patience. The Holy See, in planning this "ecumenical incentive" for the "great Monotheistic Religions," has not uttered one single word about converting the Moslems and Jews to the One True Faith. Besides, Rome’s use of the phrase "Monotheistic Religions" is gravely misleading. The Moslems and Jews do not believe in the One True God. They deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ. They reject the Holy Trinity. This Sinai jamboree prior to the Great Jubilee, is being hailed in the "spirit of Assisi"… Remember the first Assisi extravaganza in 1986? The Roman Catholic Church, under Peter, invited all the false religions. The Crucifix and the Blessed Sacrament were removed and a solid gold statue of Buddha was placed on top of the tabernacle in the Church of Saint Peter in Assisi, whilst the bonzes and Tibetan Lamas burned incense in our consecrated Sanctuary. By contrast, on the same day, 27 October 1986, a statue of Our Lady of Fatima arrived in Assisi, carried by young men all the way from Calabria. Our Catholic "ecumenical" prelates refused Her entry and Her image on a flower-strewn bier, was abandoned outdoors, opposite the very church given over to idolatry. (subsequently devastated by recent earthquakes). In contrast, the Roman Martyrs would at least have had some excuse for succumbing through fear of torture, yet they refused to give one pinch of incense before the idols – preferring to endure hideous protracted sufferings, rather than to give even the semblance of betraying Christ.

Old Testament Harlot

Whenever the ancient Hebrews played the harlot, they provoked the Wrath of God. We read in Ezechiel, Chapter 16:

You have become infatuated with your own beauty; you have used your fame to make yourself a prostitute; you have offered your services to all corners… And in all your filthy practices and your whorings you have never remembered your youth… A prostitute is paid. But you in your whorings have even given presents away to all your lovers. You have offered them gifts to attract them from everywhere. In your whoring your have done the exact opposite from other women; no one was running after you, so you went out and paid them. Well then, harlot, hear the words of Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: For having undressed and let yourself be seen naked while whoring with your lovers and your filthy idols, and for giving them your children’s blood, I am going to band together all the lovers who have pleasured you, both those you liked and those you disliked… I intend to hand you over to their fury. They will whip up the crowd against you; you will be stoned and run through with a sword; they will set your houses on fire and execute justice on you in the sight of all the nations.

New Testament Harlot

Ezechiel described how the infidelity of the Chosen People of the Old Covenant – who were espoused to the Lord – brought down God’s anger and chastisements upon them. Are the Chosen People of the New Covenant any different? The Church is after all the Bride of Christ and we do know that history has a way of repeating itself. So it is with trepidation that we read of the condemnation of the great harlot of eschatological times, called "Babylon the Great". Although the exegesis of the Apocalypse remains largely a mystery, there are a number of intriguing points for us to ponder. Those following in parenthesis are by no means certain facts, but merely suggestions. Nevertheless, we do have some certainties to guide us lest we fall into the same error as the Protestant misinterpretation that Babylon the Great represents the Catholic Church. We do know in Jewish and Christian biblical circles that "Babylon" was a synonym for "Rome". Babylon is often equated with ancient, pagan Rome. But Babylon the great harlot cannot be mis-applied to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, against which the gates of Hell will not prevail.

There is however, no reason why the terms "Babylon" and "great harlot" should not apply to an impostor. This preposterous situation exists today with a counterfeit doctrine (emanating from the city of Rome), expertly marketed as "catholic" and bought as "catholic" (but without dogmatic authority) – seductive conciliar products which are worldly and, in fact, contrary to the Faith. As a result of Vatican II ideology, countless souls within the Church are being led astray to play the harlot under the guise of ecumania. With this in mind then, we now approach Chapters 17 and 18 of Saint John’s Apocalypse…

Babylon the Great

"Babylon the great" … "the great harlot with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication", sitting on a beast with seven heads and ten horns … "this woman was clothed round about with purple and scarlet" (these happen to be the official colors of bishops and cardinals, cited in ascending rank) … "with a chalice in her hands full of the abominations and filthiness of her fornication… the heads are seven mountains upon which the woman sits" (Rome is built on seven hills, Septicolis). In Chapter 18 we are told of an angel coming down from Heaven who cried out loudly, "Babylon the Great is fallen (fallen from grace) and is become the habitation of devils and the hold of every unclean spirit"… Then St. John heard another voice from Heaven saying, "Go out from her my people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not her plagues"… After that, the great harlot was burned, "And her accomplices seeing the smoke of her burning will cry, ‘Alas! Alas! That great city, Babylon, that mighty city; for in one hour is your judgment come!’ Then none shall buy her merchandise… fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet (the second mention of these two colors, but this time interpolated with the two fabrics out of which our liturgical vestments have always traditionally been made)…and the souls of men." (The great harlot’s merchandise includes souls – traffic in souls) "The merchants of these things will lament from afar saying ‘Alas! Alas! That great city, which was clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet (those two colors for the third and final time) and was gilt with gold and precious stones and pearls (supernatural graces, the pearl of great price). For in one hour are so great riches come to naught" … "Rejoice over her you heavens and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has judged your judgment on her."

Prophecy

Our Lady of Fatima foretold an absolute unconditional victory "in the end" – which is not an allusion to the end of the world, but to the end of this apostasy. "But finally, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and it will be converted, and a time of peace will be conceded to the world." The resolution of our postconciliar plight is dependent upon the Blessed Virgin Mary’s agenda as set forth in her Fatima message and devotions. The legacy of Fatima is one of Holy Hope! Long before 1917 however, throughout the centuries there have been hundreds of prophecies given to us, which are both relevant and consoling.

Jeanne le Royer (Sister of the Nativity 1731-1798) prophesied: "The New Constitution will appear to many other than what it really is. They will bless it as a gift from Heaven; whereas, it is in fact sent from Hell and permitted by God in His Just wrath. It will only be by its effects that people will be led to recognize the Dragon who wanted to destroy all and devour all."… "God manifested to me the malice of Lucifer and the perverse and diabolical intentions of his henchmen against the Holy Church of Jesus Christ … Through the corrupted breath of their proud spirit, they have poisoned the minds of men. Like persons infected, with pestilence, they have communicated the evil to each other and the contagion has become general … The Church in Council shall one day strike with anathemas, pull down and destroy the evil principles of that criminal institution. What a consolation! What a joy for the truly faithful!"

Saint Anthony of the Desert (4th Century) prophesied in his Disquisition XIV, "They will surrender to the Spirit of the age. They will say that if they had lived in our day, Faith would be simple and easy. But in their day, Faith would be complex; the Church must be brought up to date and made meaningful to the day’s problems. When the Church and the World are one, then those days are at hand. Because Our Divine Master placed a barrier between His things and the things of the world."

Venerable Bartholomew Holzhauser (17th Century) prophesied about what he called, the "fifth" and "sixth" periods of the Church. "During the fifth period, Jesus Christ will purge His people through cruel wars, famines, plagues, epidemics and horrible calamities. He will also afflict and weaken the Latin Church with many heresies. It is a period of defections, calamities and extermination… During this period, God guides the Church in several ways… by interposing the Council of Trent like a light in the darkness, so that Christians who see the light may know what to believe… During this period many men will abuse the freedom of conscience conceded to them… During this unhappy period there will be laxity in divine and human precepts. Discipline will suffer. The holy canons will be completely disregarded and the clergy will not respect the laws of the Church. Everyone will be carried away and led to believe and do what he fancies according to the manner of the flesh. They will ridicule Christian simplicity; they will call it folly and nonsense, but they will have the highest regard for advanced knowledge and for the skill by which the axioms of the law, the precepts of morality, the holy canons and religious dogmas are clouded by senseless questions and elaborate arguments. As a result, no principle at all, however holy, authentic, ancient and certain it may be, will remain free of censure, criticism, false interpretations, modifications and delineation by man. These are very evil times; a century full of dangers and calamities. Heresy is everywhere and the followers of heresy are in power almost everywhere. Bishops, prelates and priests say that they are doing their duty; that they are vigilant, and that they live as befits their state in life. In this manner therefore, they all seek excuses. But God will permit a great evil against His Church. Heretics and tyrants will come suddenly and unexpectedly; they will break into the Church while the bishops, prelates and priests are asleep."

After the "fifth" period, "God will console His Holy Church for the affliction and great tribulation which she has endured… All nations will become Catholic. Vocations will be abundant as never before, and all men will seek only the Kingdom of God and His justice. Men will live in peace and this will be granted because people will make their peace with God… There will be many saints and doctors of the Church on earth. Peace will reign over the whole earth, because God will bind Satan for a number of years until the days of the Son of Perdition. No one will be able to pervert the Word of God, since, during the sixth period, there will be an ecumenical Council which will be the greatest of all Councils. By the Grace of God, by the power of the Great Monarch, by the authority of the Holy Pontiff and by the union of the most devout princes, atheism and every heresy will be banished from the earth. The Council will define the true sense of Holy Scripture and this will be believed and accepted by everyone."

Jeanne le Royer (q.v.) also had prophesied: "I see in God a large assembly of pastors who will uphold the rights of the Church and of the Head. They will restore the former disciplines. I see in particular, two servants of Our Lord who will distinguish themselves in this glorious struggle and who, by the grace of the Holy Ghost, will fill with ardent zeal, the hearts of this illustrious assembly. All the false cults will be abolished; all the abuses of the Revolution will be destroyed and the altars of the true God restored. The former practices will be put into force again and our religion… will flourish more than ever."

Saint Nicholas of Flue (d. 1487) foretold that, "The Church will be punished because the majority of her members, high and low, will become so perverted. The Church will sink deeper and deeper until she at last seems to be extinguished, and the succession of Peter and the other apostles to have expired. But, after this, she will be victoriously exalted in the sight of all doubters."

Ven. Mary of Agreda (17th Century) wrote, "It was revealed to me that through the intercession of the Mother of God, all heresies will disappear. The victory over heresies has been reserved by Christ for His Blessed Mother. In the latter days, the Lord will in a special manner, spread the renown of His Mother. Mary began salvation and by her intercession, it will be completed. Before the Second Coming of Christ, Mary more than ever, must shine in mercy, might and grace in order to bring unbelievers into the Catholic Faith. The power of Mary in the latter days will be very conspicuous. Mary will extend the reign of Christ over the heathens and the Mohammedans; and it will be a time of great joy when Mary is enthroned as Mistress and Queen of Hearts."

Saint Louis de Montfort prophesied, "The power of Mary over all devils will be particularly outstanding in the last period of time. She will extend the Kingdom of Christ over the idolaters and Moslems, and there will come a glorious era in which Mary will be Ruler and Queen of human hearts."

Saint Maximilian Kolbe (d.1941) wrote, "Modem times are dominated by Satan. The conflict with Hell cannot be engaged in by men, even the most clever. Immaculate Mary alone has from God the promise of victory over Satan. Our age is the age of the Immaculata. The serpent will raise his head over the whole earth, but the Immaculate One is going to crush him through decisive victories… Then heresies and schisms will be extinguished and hardened sinners, thanks to Immaculate Mary, will return to God… and all pagans will be baptized. Thus will be accomplished what Saint Catherine (Labouré) had foretold: that the Immaculata will become Queen of the whole world, and of each one in particular".

On the subject of prophecy, it is interesting to note that there are only two names left on St. Malachy’s list of popes. Attributed to the Archbishop of Armagh and discovered in the Vatican archives, St. Malachy’s papal prophecy was first published in 1590. Although the authorship is disputed, the fact remains that the terse Latin phrases did actually fit all our popes since that time with uncanny accuracy. Here then are the final seven popes as listed.

Pius XII "Pastor Angelicus" (Angelic Shepherd) – Jesus appeared once personally to him in 1954 – Pius XII was opposed to calling as an ecumenical council as he believed it too to dangerous at this time. Next came John XXIII "Pastor et Nauta" (Shepherd and Sailor) – former Patriarch of Venice, city of canals – He convened the Second Vatican Council, but died after the first session. Then came Paul VI "Flos Florum" (Flower of Flowers) – his coat of arms had the fleur-de-lis – he presided over the Council and implemented the changes. John Paul I "De Medietate Lunae" (From the Half of the Moon) – Albino Luciani, who reigned only one month, had the first two letters of his surname forming half of "luna" (Latin for "moon").

Presently we have John Paul II "De Labore Solis" (Of the Labor of the Sun) who was born 18 May, 1920, during a "laboring sun" – a solar eclipse. Is it possible the end of his life will coincide with another sign in the heavens, another "laboring sun", or in fact no sun at all – such as during the "Three Days of Darkness"? This controversial event was foretold by so many saints – a global chastisement reminiscent of the ninth plague over Egypt.

More somber however, is the spiritual interpretation of "De Labore Solis"… "Labor" means "struggle" and "sun" represents "the light of Divine Truth". Ergo, "Struggle over Divine Truth" is intimated. Since the sun is prominent in this pseudonym and as the clock of Fatima is still ticking, we could also include the symbols of the Apocalypse (12:1) "And a great sign appeared in the heavens, a woman clothed with the sun" – hence, "labor" = "struggle" and "woman" = "Church" and "sun" = "Light of Divine Truth," which does reflect this present apostasy and is certainly a "struggle in the Church over the Truth." The "woman" of the Apocalypse is also used as a symbol for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pope John Paul II has not yet obeyed Our Lady of Fatima’s requests, despite the evidence of Her stupendous Miracle of the Sun and in spite of the fact he survived the assassin’s bullets on 13 May 1981. On 13 May 1917 Our Lady promised: "Afterwards I shall return here yet a seventh time." (This sentence followed immediately after Her reference to Her six consecutive visits) Post-conciliar books do not always include these words of Our Lady, which are contained in the official account by Sr. Lucia in her Third Memoir. Some people have speculated about what this promised return means, but Sr. Lucia has neither explained to anyone, nor has she acknowledged fulfillment of Our Lady’s words to date. Obviously the word "here" means the Cova and does not relate to Her appearances to Sr. Lucia in Spain. If the Great Miracle of the Sun marked the Blessed Virgin’s sixth public apparition, one wonders what could be entailed in the event Our Lady of Fatima is to return there yet a seventh and perhaps final time. John Paul II needs our prayers now, as never before. The "laboring sun" is approaching sunset, while the outstanding work of our day, requested at the dawn of our century in Fatima, is left undone.

The penultimate pope on St. Malachy’s list "De Gloria Olivae" (From the Glory of the Olive) seems to correspond to the "Saint" Pope of so many blessed prophecies. The olive branch is a symbol of peace. Our Lady of Fatima promised to us in the end, an era of universal peace. Perhaps this next pope will be the "saint" chosen to preside over the Reign of Peace. He is described often as a French prelate. The last pope on this list is "Petrus Romanus" (Peter the Roman), obviously Peter II. We began with a Peter and by this account, we shall end with a Peter – the Pope dressed in red – the martyr, who lays down his life for his sheep during the final battle against the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, the Antichrist.

Finally, on the subject of popes, there is a pious Roman legend associated with the archbasilica of Saint Paul-Outside-the-Walls, regarding its frieze of papal portraits beginning with St. Peter up to the present time. It is said that when the spaces are all used up, this will be a sign that the last days are near at hand. There are very few spaces left. At this rate, we may not get as far as a "coming fourth millennium", but it appears the "Coming Third Millennium" will be quite different from the Vatican agenda planned today. Pope Pius XII prophesied that the Church would be thoroughly cleansed before the Year AD 2000.

There is a certain apprehension with respect to these last Trinitarian years (which unfortunately were not immediately preceded by a Marian Year). Nevertheless, 1997 – dedicated to Jesus Christ – has passed, whilst even His Own received Him not… Now, as we proceed with the Year of the Holy Spirit, we might expect to avoid endeavors contrary to the Will of God, yet falsely attributed to the working of the Holy Spirit. Blasphemous claims of this sort will surely not go unpunished. Christ taught that sins against the Holy Ghost are so serious, they will never be forgiven. Therefore, if the Paraclete is increasingly cited as the author of false ecumenism and charismatic activities, this could precipitate our chastisement by God the Father. It may be that when cleansed, the surviving prodigal children will come home to the era of peace promised by Our Lady at Fatima. The cleansing of the Church alluded to by Pius XII is encompassed by the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Let us pray we are spared to see it.

The Great Jubilee

This appeal for an infallible judgment on the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council now turns toward the Great Jubilee. After concentrating on past defects and present effects of the Council, we look towards the future. To what extent have the errors of Vatican II influenced the Holy See’s itinerary leading up to the "Year 2000"?

The official Vatican agenda for 1995-1999 outlined by Pope John Paul II in his Apostolic Letter on the "Coming Third Millennium", Tertio Millennio Adveniente. A general synopsis reveals that the thrust of this document, possessed by the spirit of ecumenism, is to push and press for the unity of all Christians and all of mankind if possible, into a single global ethic by the Year 2000. Incomprehensibly, the usual Christian term "AD 2000" is not used in this lengthy papal text. Also absent is the indisputable fact that Vatican II has been utterly impotent in stemming the tide of apostasy, heresy, schism, blasphemy, scandal and vice for the past 30 years. Tertio Millennio Adveniente is instead peppered with conciliar references and quotes, cited in support of a litany of praises for the said Council. Yet any calculated omission of the facts is simply a deliberate contradiction of reality, whilst an arbitrary reversal of reality is plain dis-information or untruth.

Ubiquitous and obsequious conciliar adulation, along with a fanatical adoration of the pope (papolatry), cannot be regarded as Catholic responses. Conciliarism reminds one of the classic fable about the Emperor’s New Clothes, wherein he paraded around in a loincloth, whilst his courtiers loudly complimented him on his non-existent fine robes. Conciliarism gives rise to an identical situation. Vatican II, the fallible "pastoral" Council, is lauded and given credence due only to an infallible (dogmatic) Council. This sycophantic and schizoid anomaly is endemic to the fans of the Council, together with all those merchants-of-happiness who promote this "Civilization of Love" – a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI. But even here, the paradox is obvious, since it was Paul VI himself who noted after the Council that the "Smoke of Satan" had entered the Church. Subsequently, our Catholic noses, alerted by these fumes, were led to discover the original bonfire. Indeed, the smoke could never have entered our Church without the flames set by Vatican II. How will the air be cleared? By an ex-cathedra judgment on the Council and its teachings, or by a Divine intervention? Unless some good bishops come to the aid of the Church very soon, the latter seems inevitable. Conciliar ecumenism has relegated the Mother of God to a private back seat in the millennium preparations. How could Catholic thinking have been so profoundly altered since the Council?

Trinitarian Years

In reviewing the official agenda for the Great Jubilee, it transpires that we were all required to have made an examination of conscience over the first two years (1995 and 1996), and to have repented for our sins and the sins of all our ancestors – in the so-called "sins of the Church" throughout history. 1997 was proclaimed as a year dedicated to Jesus Christ; 1998 is devoted to the Holy Spirit and 1999 is going to be the year of God the Father. The Pope says "Mary" will be "contemplated" and "imitated" during this time.

Our Lady’s Role

Did we really need two whole years to review our consciences? Why did we not begin our 5-year-plan with a year to repent for our sins and the second year officially dedicated to the Mother of God? In this way, she would immediately have preceded her Son’s year, just as she prepared the way for His first Advent. But the fact is, Our Lady is to be kept – as much as possible – out of public sight by the Vatican as we approach Year 2000. If these prelates are honest about this situation, they must admit that the last Marian Year, celebrated back in 1986-87, was too far in the past to provide any visible link with the coming Year 2000. How is it possible in our brave new Church, that we are so preoccupied with the Rights of Man and the Dignity of the Human Person – decrying all manner of discrimination, whilst over-looking our own Mother Mary? In planning for the Great Jubilee, what better opportunity could there have been for the Catholic Church under Peter to faithfully proclaim the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the whole world in unambiguous terms as "Mother of God" and to publicly honor her sovereignty as "Queen of Heaven and earth." Yet, the Vatican excluded her from the public domain – presumably not to offend the sensibilities of the non-Catholic world and not to impair or compromise any grandiose "ecumenical incentives".

How will the Head of the Church, Our Lord Jesus Christ, regard such neglect of His Mother, whilst we cavort and consort instead with the Protestants and the Moslems and Jews on Mount Sinai in expansive displays of ecumania? It was not unreasonable to expect Christ’s Vicar on earth, our self-proclaimed "Marian" pope, to have insisted on leading the human race in universal homage to his Mistress and Queen. Sadly, in reading Tertio Millennio Adveniente, no one would ever guess that Mary is actually Queen of Heaven and earth. Mary’s Queenship and all mention of it has been completely avoided. Additionally, the fact that Our Lady was given to us as the Mediatrix between mankind and Jesus Christ (proven at Cana by His first public miracle done exclusively at her pleading) is omitted entirely. Instead, we are told that "Christ is the one Mediator between God and man" several times lest we forget. But that is only half the truth, is it not? The whole truth is that God gave us His Mother to be our Mediatrix with God-made-Man. Catholics have always believed that Our Lady’s God-given role as Mediatrix was not merely limited to her Divine Maternity in bringing the Redeemer into the world, but that Mary intercedes constantly for us with her Son – in a real, practical and in the most efficacious way. We were not led to doubt before Vatican II that Jesus Christ showered all His graces upon us through her intercession and administration as Queen of Heaven. Yet by means of this total exclusion of Our Lady as Mediatrix in Tertio Millennio Adveniente – Her uniquely powerful role is implicitly denied.

In this verbose Apostolic Letter of over 16,000 words, Mary is mentioned very few times – with only three paragraphs devoted to her (and at that, strictly in relation to the Trinitarian years). If this is Vatican II ideology, it is lethal for Marian devotion, since any publicity surrounding Our Lady is very wishy-washy or has been purged from the Vatican’s official agenda. Indeed, she "will be indirectly present", according to John Paul II, during 1995 and 1996. Then she "will be contemplated" during 1997, the Year of Jesus Christ. And "she will be contemplated and imitated" in 1998, the Year of the Holy Spirit and "her motherhood will be felt" during 1999, the Year of the Father. How and by whom? Under such vague circumstances, let us hope the People of God do not forget about these private meditations entirely. As an example, how many Catholics – let alone anyone else in the world – actually heard of or had access to the contents of the Papal locutions about Mary throughout 1997?

However, in the final paragraph of Tertio Millennio Adveniente, John Paul II entrusts responsibility for the upcoming celebrations to the "maternal intercession" of Mary (after her implicit disqualification as Mediatrix!): "She, the Mother of Fairest Love will be for Christians on the way to the Great Jubilee of the Third Millennium, the Star which safely guides their steps to the Lord." Do Christians mean Catholics?

How will Protestants ever learn the truth about her when she has been denied an effective public forum? Indeed, under the prevailing ground rules, She will be a most discreet "Star" even for Catholic-Christians.

It is ironic that this document urging us to examine the "sins of the Catholic Church" reveals in itself so grave a deficiency with respect to the Blessed Virgin Mary. How could a Marian Pope ever permit the Great Mother of God to be set aside? Or allow the Queen of Heaven to be hidden under a bushel? The faithful are faced with an enigma. We know John Paul II publicly proclaimed his abandonment to (not of) Mary "Totus Tuus", as illustrated by the big "M" on his coat of arms. Yet the symbol of Our Lord – the Cross – is shunted off-center to one side by the large "M". In comparison, the Miraculous Medal design, given to us by Our Lady herself, has her "M" in line with and subordinate to the Cross, which remains centered. Even if the Cross has been displaced by the symbol of Maria on the papal crest, we pray the Madonna is never replaced by "Mundi". Petrae quo vadis?

Little Jacinta Marto prayed constantly and made heroic sacrifices "for the Holy Father", as did Francisco and Lucia, from the moment they learned the contents of the Third Secret. Venerable Jacinta said she would "pray very much" for the Pope in Heaven. Lucia (meaning "light") still suffers for him today in her convent. He has the greatest need of our prayers and sacrifices too – especially since he has not yet fulfilled Our Lady of Fatima’s requests. Our Lady of the Rosary was explicit: "Only She can help you." If we believe this, why then is "She" not front and center stage in the Great Jubilee millennium agenda?

Post-Conciliar Mariology

The explanation for this oversight may be sought in post-conciliar mariology. On the one hand, we are experiencing an explosion of "Marian" apparitions since Vatican II. According to Church law, the local Ordinary (usually the Bishop) has the responsibility to approve or condemn the alleged supernatural events. Only a few of these recent apparitions have been approved in the first stage. One of those condemned by the local Bishop was "Our Lady of Medjugorje", who is still allegedly appearing to several adult seers. At the outset, however, these "seers" admitted on audio tape to their Bishop that they were in fact teenagers who went outside to smoke cigarettes behind their parents’ backs (yet were nevertheless rewarded for their disobedience with their first vision). The ecumenical "Gospa" subsequently was reported by her seers as stating it was all right to leave Moslems and others in peace, without trying to turn them into Christians and Catholics. What mattered was that they be "good" Moslems et al (albeit unbaptized and unconverted to the One True Church).

Yet it is a fact that all deathbed conversions are to the Catholic religion. It is unheard-of throughout history, for the dying to convert to Islam, Judaism, or anything else – except to Catholicism. Would it not make sense if the One True Faith is necessary for our salvation? Yet this garrulous Gospa, who has been talking for over 15 years, is so ecumenical, she is on record as confirming "good" people (in false religions) need not be converted to the Catholic religion. The Blessed Virgin Mary – a Woman of few words – always draws souls into Her Son’s Church. In contrast, the bare feet of the Immaculate white-clothed Lady were visible at Lourdes and Fatima, yet here the drab gray-clad apparition’s feet are covered by a perpetual fog. What is hidden under that cloud then, cloven hooves?

The conversions to the Church at Medjugorje appear to be genuine, however, if tomorrow Rome were to infallibly decree that this venue was a beautiful shrine of Satan, how many would humbly pay heed? How many devotees would be so sure of themselves and their personal "signs", that they would continue their support? We do not know how many of these Medjugorje conversions or re-conversions are more committed to the apparition than they are to the Church. What we do know is that this talkative and un-approved "Lady of Peace" has stolen countless hearts away from Our Lady’s true peace plan and has distracted millions of souls from the approved and paramount Marian apparition of our century – Fatima!

On the other hand, if we do not follow the true light at the end of the tunnel, we shall gravitate towards the headlight of the conciliar train coming at us from the opposite direction. To our peril since the Council, we Catholics have been targeted by a diluted brand of mariology, which diffuses the ardent devotion of our Marian Saints and which contradicts, but mostly ignores the Church’s age-old beliefs on Mary. One is astonished to discover how much this "sensus fidei" has been damaged by the new "reformed" religion. In order to recognize this watered-down Mariology, an evaluation is necessary.

Firstly, in attempting to fathom John Paul II’s stance regarding the Blessed Virgin, his book Crossing the Threshold of Hope, offers some clues. The Pope writes:

Thanks to Saint Louis of Montfort, I came to understand that true devotion to the Mother of God is actually Christocentric, indeed, it is very profoundly rooted in the Mystery of the Blessed Trinity.

This is what St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort wrote in his Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary:

We have not yet praised, exalted, honored, loved and served Mary enough. She deserves still more praise, still more respect, still more love and still more service. God wants His Mother at present to be more known, more loved and more honored than She has ever been… The Will of the Most High, Who exalts the humble, is that Heaven, earth and hell bend – with good will, or bad – to the commands of the humble Mary, who He has made Sovereign of Heaven and earth, General of His armies, Treasurer of His Treasures, Dispenser of His Graces, Worker of His great marvels, Restorer of the human race, Mediatrix of men, the exterminator of the enemies of God and the faithful Companion of His grandeurs and triumphs… Yes, as it is certain that the knowledge and reign of Jesus Christ came into this world, it will be only a necessary result of the knowledge and reign of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, who sent Him into the world the first time, and who will cause Him to be manifest a second time.

Secondly, the other Saint mentioned by the Pope in this book is "Father Maximilian Kolbe". It is worth our while to briefly compare examples of the expressed beliefs of these two Polish prelates, whose lives overlapped for some two decades. On the one hand, we have Maximilian Kolbe, the pre-conciliar Marian Saint – Knight of the Immaculata; and on the other, we have Karol Wojtyla, the Pope of the Marian Motto – Crusader for the Council. Theologically, they seem poles apart.

John Paul II writes in Tertio Millennio Adveniente:

Mary who conceived the Incarnate Word by the power of the Holy Spirit and then the whole of her life allowed herself to be guided by his interior activity, will be contemplated and imitated during this year above all as the woman who was docile to the voice of the Spirit, a woman of silence and attentiveness, a woman of hope, who like Abraham, accepted God’s will ‘hoping against hope’. (cf Rom 4:18)

Saint Maximilian Kolbe wrote on the same subject as follows:

O Immaculata! What were your thoughts when for the first time you placed the Divine Child on His bed of straw? … You knew very well Who that Child was, because the Prophets had spoken of Him and you understood them better than all the Pharisees and the learned Scripture scholars. The Holy Spirit had given to you infinitely more enlightenment that all other souls together! Besides, how many mysteries of Jesus were revealed only and exclusively to your Immaculate Soul by the Divine Spirit Who lived and operated within you! At the moment of the Annunciation, you knew perfectly well to Whom your consent was being given and Whose Mother you were to be.

To Pope John Paul II, Mary is the docile, silent woman who hoped against hope. To Saint Maximilian Kolbe, his glorious Immaculata understood the prophets better than any genius, because the Holy Spirit had given her more enlightenment than all mankind put together, including exclusive mysteries of Jesus; enabling her to know perfectly well, amongst other things, her mission as Mother of the Messiah and Mother of God. In other words, she knew; she did not have to "hope against hope".

Why do we get the impression in sterile post-conciliar commentaries that we have been relegated to a spiritual starvation bunker? We long to hear our Pontiff speak in the preconciliar Faith of his compatriot. The following is taken from one of Father Kolbe’s sermons and reveals the type of teaching those nine condemned men must have been graced to hear in their starvation bunker at Auschwitz during their protracted martyrdom:

Fear not little flock, fear not; for death is not the end, but the beginning! Let us just imagine for ourselves, how grateful countless numbers of souls will be to us, because we opened Heaven for them. And even if we only increased their glory by one degree, how they will thank us for all eternity. And we will be most grateful to them as well, for in working for them, we prepare for ourselves a heavenly crown. How they too will burn with love for Her, who deigned to use us to free them from the shackles of the Devil! Oh! What a hymn of glory and thanksgiving will be raised by all the inhabitants of Heaven to the Heart of Jesus; that He gave us so wonderful a Mother! That He created Her as one so good, that She could not abandon a single sinner, even the worst, who finds refuge in Her. And She is so powerful that Her desire alone is sufficient to move His Heart – the Heart of our Infinite God.

These expressions of Faith… this Catholic-intimacy-with-the-Divine, was unique to the Church and attracted many Protestant conversions to Catholicism before the Council. But now, all is "immanent" with scant focus on what is going to happen to us beyond the grave. As Hell is minimized or denied, the glories of Heaven can neither be convincingly described. To preach about the "Good News" without including the "bad news" – the cause and reality of damnation – is gross negligence. In Crossing the Threshold of Hope, the Pontiff’s interviewer, the Italian journalist Messori, remarked that since Vatican II, "more ‘documents’ have been produced at every level of the Church than in the entire preceding twenty centuries. Yet to some it has seemed that this loquacious Church is silent about what is most essential: eternal life."

Be Not Afraid

When Saint Maximilian Kolbe said "Fear not", he was encouraging the faithful not to fear death, because it marks the beginning of eternal life. But John Paul II often says, "Be not afraid!" What does he mean? In Crossing the Threshold of Hope, the Pope explains:

The words of Christ are repeated by the Church. And with the Church, they are repeated by the Pope. I have done so since the first homily I gave in St. Peter’s Square: ‘Be not afraid!’ These are not words said into a void. They are profoundly rooted in the Gospel. They are simply the words of Christ Himself. Of what should we not be afraid? We should not fear the truth about ourselves. (Emphasis added)

Where in the Gospels did Christ ever say that we should not fear the truth about ourselves? Christ did say however: "Be not afraid of them who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you fear; fear him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you. Fear him." (Lk. 12:4,5)

So when the Holy Father repeats "Be not afraid!" (of the truth about ourselves), we are afraid. We are especially afraid every time he refers over and over again to Vatican II as the basis for all these strange ideas. We are afraid because our conciliar popes have disobeyed God and refused His Mother’s requests at Fatima. On the contrary, we would be very foolish indeed, if we did not fear the truth about ourselves.

Advent

Now the Millennium draws near. History is repeating itself when one recalls that during the First Advent there was no room for the Virgin Mary at the inn. So now too, thanks to Vatican II ecumenism, there is no decent place for her in the Jubilee Calendar. We know the Blessed Virgin came ahead of her Divine Son for the First Advent and so, in like manner, she will again precede Christ to prepare the way for His Second Coming. This is the teaching of many canonized Saints. Our Lord sends His Mother ahead of Himself on both occasions. God needed her in His plans. How presumptuous of us to consider we do not need her as central to ours for the Great Jubilee! This is her anniversary too, recalling that moment in time when she brought the Savior into the world. But Rome has not rallied us to prepare for the great anniversary of Christ’s Birth by making reparation to Him through the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the antediluvian magnitude of evils in the world today. Rome no longer leads us by means of the Five First Saturdays devotion to take shelter as Christ did, before his Birth – under the Heart of His Mother. Neither do the champions of Vatican II preach from the rooftops about our urgent need for the brown scapular, even though Our Lady of Carmel appeared with scapular in hand during the Great Miracle of the Sun at Fatima to remind us. What is it then, the mere "folklore of Fatima?"

Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph also appeared at Fatima to bless the world, yet he too has been ignored since Vatican II. Saint Joseph was sloughed off in Tertio Millennio Adveniente with exactly one mention, as "Joseph," uncanonized, without even the prefix "Saint"! This "just man" is totally exiled from their "Great Jubilee", reminding us of when he was forced to flee with Our Lady and the Christ Child so long ago. What pivotal role will he play as the cosmic drama foretold at Fatima unfolds? Who then exactly was this "just man"?

Saint Joseph was not merely a deceived husband who was miraculously consoled by an angel. Being a "just man" (Mt. 1:19), he was virtuous, upright and righteous. Why then did he resolve to send Mary away? If he was "just", he was obliged to denounce her publicly if he really was upright. And if he thought she was innocent, then he would have been unjust to send her away. The explanation could be that St. Joseph already knew the secret of her virginal Conception, as reflected by the angel’s words to him thus: "Joseph, Son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for (you know) that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit". (Mt. 1:20) Could it be that St. Joseph did not want to appear in the eyes of the world to be the father of the Son of God? If so, he would have planned to send Our Lady away quietly, out of obedience to the Will of God, thinking God had plans for Mary which did not include him. But God did have an unsurpassed role for St. Joseph as Guardian and Protector of Emmanuel and His Mother. The Blessed Virgin was not intended to find herself facing the world as a single mother. By taking Mother and Child into his home, and since St. Joseph and Our Lady were both of the Royal House of David, the Scriptures would be fulfilled perfectly and without scandal. St. Joseph was the first after the Blessed Virgin to accept Jesus as an integral part of his life. He was also the first to behold the Son of God in His Mother’s arms. This "just man", this StepFather of Jesus, this Head of the Holy Family and Patron of the Universal Church – has been banished from the Vatican’s "New Springtime" agenda. But soon it seems, there will be a "new springtime" given by God to His Church, after the conciliar leaven has been purged.

Official recognition and devotion to Saint Joseph will be rehabilitated. St. John Bosco gave us a few hints. The reredos of the altar dedicated to St. Joseph at the basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians in Turin, was painted according to Don Bosco’s directives. The Holy Family is depicted above the church in the clouds. St. Joseph is dropping down the roses handed to him by the Child Jesus in his arms. Our Lady is standing next to her spouse. Don Bosco wrote: "The flowers represent the graces offered by Jesus to Mary, but Mary makes Saint Joseph their absolute administrator. As Holy Church proclaims (at the end of the Litany of St. Joseph) He made him lord of His household and prince of all His possessions".

St. John Bosco prophesied that "between two full moons in the month of the flowers", the symbol of peace – the rainbow would rise above the earth. He foretold the sun on that occasion would shine with a greater luminosity than during the first Pentecost above the cenacle. We should be aware that in northern Italy, March is known as the "month of the flowers". Moreover, there are two full moons in March 1999 and St. Joseph’s Feast falls between them. Could this be the time for the sun to shine again at the dawn of the Reign of Peace – after the frightful days of darkness? If so, this will be the visible symbol of a real universal springtime by God’s Will to displace the present man-made mirage – our so-called conciliar "Springtime". Before Vatican II, we were reminded to "Go to Joseph". If we go to him now during this storm, he may come to us in a special way in the time of peace. It is not inconceivable that St. Joseph’s incorrupt body will be found during the Reign of the Immaculate Heart. Fr. Paul of Moll (d.1894) was of the opinion: "In ecstasy a Saint has seen the body of St. Joseph preserved intact in a tomb, the site of which is yet unknown. The more the glorious spouse of the Most Holy Virgin is honored, the sooner will the finding of his body take place, which will be a day of great rejoicing for the Church". And Isidore of Solanis, a pious Dominican of the 16th century, foretold that towards the end of time, God will overwhelm St Joseph with glorious honors".

Tenebrae

Obviously the tenebrae of our apostatic age is a spiritual darkness with the eclipse of the True Light. But perhaps we shall also endure a physical darkness as prophesied by over 300 saintly souls over the past millennium. St. Hildegard of Bingen, St. Caspar del Bufalo of the Precious Blood devotion, Bl. Anna Maria Taigi, Bl. Elizabeth Canori – Mora, the "Little Arab" – Sr. Mary of Jesus Crucified of Pau, Bl. Faustina of the Divine Mercy Devotion (to name just a few), all warned of a similar universal chastisement. Whether the result of a nuclear war or a rogue meteorite or comet, there apparently is to come three days of darkness (dies irae in triduum) over the whole earth. We are instructed to stay locked indoors, to pray and remain within the light of a blessed candle, to cover the windows and ignore all else. Similar to the ninth and tenth plagues of Egypt, the forces of Hell will wreak havoc. Some saints say it will be like a mini-Judgment and that two thirds of humanity will perish. Pharaoh must have thought this sort of thing was far-fetched too, until three days of darkness fell and the Angel of Death swept through his land. Given the state of this world and of the Church, it is a miracle that God has not yet permitted a global punishment. There is no safe place to hide in the event these things come to pass. All that is required of us is to remain in a state of sanctifying grace, to pray for those who are not ready to meet their Maker and to keep looking forward amidst all tribulations, to the coming Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Remnant’s Vocation

Since the dark clouds heralding our chastisement are gathering, we shall need to keep ourselves and our children away from ecumenical orgies and other forms of conciliar man-worshipping for the Millennium. Although we might fear the climax of Hell’s harvest, Our Lord will never abandon His Church. As long as we remain faithful, Our Lady will shelter us and St. Joseph will protect us, as prefigured at Fatima. One day we shall see exactly how, within the Church, the One True Faith was kept burning throughout this apostasy – as the sanctuary lamp shines to light up the Tabernacle all through a dark night. We, who are loyal Roman Catholics – who truly love our Church – refuse to leave her in her darkest hour. Without her and without our Pope and the clergy in union with him (notwithstanding their extreme weakness or perversity), we shall be orphans. This is our crucifixion. It is not a time for personal consolation, but rather the final stage of suffering with and for the Church. Our vocation, as the "remnant", is to keep the Faith, whilst avoiding heresy and schism. It is also our privilege to fight for the Church and to defend the Truth, without falling prey to bitterness or any sheepish capitulation.

When faced with the errors of Vatican II, we are not obliged to follow blind guides into the abyss. Saint John Eudes taught that the "floor of Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops". And St. John Chrysostom said that "most bishops are lost and few priests are saved" – not only because of what they do, but as a result of what they fail to do. Then there is that axiom: "A bad pastor either leads or follows his flock to hell." Our canonized saints were not duped into being "non-judgmental"! Of course Christ taught us not to judge others (their hearts) lest we be judged. But these words from the Sermon on the Mount are immediately followed by His admonition for us not to throw what is holy to dogs, nor to cast our pearls before swine. Obviously, we have to judge what is holy and what is not and to discern "dogs" and "swine". The fact is, we are faced with having to make prudential judgments every day. If we are afraid to make evaluations or to "judge", we abdicate our God-given free will and cannot make correct moral choices.

Diabolical Disorientation

However, some groups in the Church nowadays are of the opinion that "yes" there are problems in the light of Tradition with Vatican II and this or that Pope’s teachings, but "no", we should not dare to criticize or presume to question our leaders. In fact, these people believe we must hide all scandal and use the example of Noah’s sons walking backwards with a cover to throw over their father’s nakedness, when he inadvertently became drunk. Polemics aside, when our salvation is at stake we cannot turn our backs and cover up the danger, pretending it should not be seen. We shall simply fall down more quickly into the pit – backwards instead of forwards. We are compelled to resist sin. There is no excuse for us who know the Fatima Message to allow ourselves to be led into error by that "diabolic disorientation affecting even the best of minds", which Sr. Lucia foretold. Fatima expert, Fr. Alonso opined that the Third Secret revealed details of the deficiencies and devastating disorders at the highest levels of the Church. This is no doubt why Sr. Lucia wrote (before her post-conciliar confinement and silencing) that the faithful must not wait for the call to penance to come from Rome. We shall wait in vain. Our Lord requires our expiation now, in order for us to save our own souls first, and then as many others around us as possible.

Penance!

In fact, Rome has been exhorting us at this time to examine our consciences. Pope John Paul II wrote in Tertio Millennio Adveniente:

"An examination of conscience must also consider the reception given to the Council, this great gift of the Spirit to the Church at the end of the Second Millennium". (Emphasis added) Ironically, compliance with that particular directive gave rise to this appeal. Indeed, when considering our "reception given to the Council", we concur with Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani’s candid observation that – if the Church had not been a divine institution – Vatican II would have destroyed her completely. Since the Barque of Peter has been so mutilated, those still on board have the right to know exactly by what means the Mystery of Iniquity has been able to immobilize and dupe her crewmen. The laity are not all hoodwinked. By the Grace of God, some souls are neither spiritually moribund, nor intellectually brain-dead. An honest examination of conscience clearly reveals that a slavish conformism to the flawed ideology of this "pastoral’’ Council has systematically replaced the true Catholic religion with a false Catholic-in-name-only cult. Our Ark of Salvation bears no resemblance to this ship of fools. Vatican II, like the "unsinkable" Titanic, was also launched on a disastrous course surrounded by boasting, bluster, vanity and folly. Metaphorically speaking, Conciliarism is worse. The real Titanic had some lifeboats, but this fallible human misconception has none at all – and it too, will sink. Meantime, the obvious chaotic conciliar consequences in our beloved Church constitute an unparalleled disgrace. Yet whose consciences must bear the guilt for this? After all, the "Renewal" was unilaterally imposed upon the poor people in the pews… Where does this fact leave the Pontiff and his hierarchy as the supreme and assistant administrators of this ongoing debacle? On the subject of this reality, have they been inclined to examine their own consciences as well?… Privately? Publicly? Collegially?… In Our Lady’s words, repeated by Saint Bernadette at Lourdes: "Penance! Penance! Penance!" … For their sins! For our sins! And for the sins of the world!

At least some of us have been faithful for many years, offering up our Rosaries, sufferings and penances in the spirit of reparation, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima. Since the Council, our lives have been one long Purgatory of dis-Ordo in the trials of "Novo-Novo Land". What better service, then, could we render in the salvation of souls than to strive by all means possible to hasten the Reign of Christ the King – coming to us through the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary? We are consoled in the fore-knowledge that the Blessed Virgin will crush the serpent’s head by removing the greatest impediment to her Victory. The Rosary moves mountains. Indeed, it is our weapon to dis-lodge the Masonic/demonic principles of Vatican II and its devotion to Faith in Man. We cannot believe in the "truth of man’s freedom" as the Conciliarists preach, since we, as Catholics, believe in the freedom of God’s Truth.

Beating Heart

Our Lord referred to His second advent with a lament, "But the Son of Man when He comes, shall He find faith on earth?" (Lk. 18:8) This tribulation of our cosmic age cannot be reduced to mere battles over the loss of our Immemorial Mass or to wrestling with the controversial private teachings of transitory Popes, when the very existence of our Catholic Faith is in jeopardy. For over thirty years authentic Catholicism has been exiled by a conciliar "Catholicism". The pathetic vestige of our Catholic religion now hangs by a thread. In this frenzy to empty out divine content, consider what has been the direct pastoral result of Vatican II – the loss of Faith in millions and the denial of the Truth to billions of souls on earth. Let us then unite to put on the armor of God and join the counter-attack against the only effective target – the beating heart of the Cult of Man, embodied in the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.

Venerable Brethren of the Episcopate, is there not an Athanasius or a John Fisher to be found among you? Are you aware of the reason why Saint John Fisher had the grace to defend the Catholic Church? He was the only English bishop during the early reign of Henry VIII who did not have a mistress. He was pure of heart. He could therefore see the Truth, whilst his corrupt confreres were emasculated by fear of blackmail and subject to extortion for their hidden sins of the past. These men had the power to save the Church in England from the heretical Church of England. But they did nothing. On the contrary, the one good shepherd amongst them went down in our annals as a Saint and a Martyr. Therefore illustrious Lord Bishops, Archbishops and Cardinals… at this critical time in the history of the Church, have a care for your immortal souls!… and for our souls too. It is your clarion call. Search you hearts…

Conciliar Grave

Let us pray that somewhere, somehow, some bishop(s) may receive the grace to ring in the death knell for this apostasy. Not by petitioning, but by requiring the Pope to set aside his own desires and to deliver a solemn Ex-Cathedra Judgment on the texts of Vatican II. This simple solution would take only a few Petrine moments of time. All is prepared. The cavernous conciliar grave is dug and its casket is open to receive the corpse. In other words, the errors of the Council and its noxious teachings have been documented – now awaiting some blessed bishops to conduct the burial. However, an absence of Churchmen will not avert this inevitable interment. The funeral pyre must then by necessity be imposed by Divine Justice – a conciliar cremation, when the earth is cleansed through fire. Even the adepts of the Craft admit this satanic recognition in their esoteric abuse of the Sacred Initials, "I.N.R.I." – to which they attribute instead "Igne Natura Renovatur Integra" (meaning "all nature will be renewed by fire"). There is still time to drive a stake into the heart of the Beast, but we can be sure any initiative to derail the conciliar juggernaut, will be violently opposed by the Pharisees of our day. Nevertheless, if God wills it, such a crusade, under the aegis of Our Lady of Fatima, would proceed with the protection of the Holy Angels and would certainly succeed. Sadly, there may not be a single Bishop left in the world who, like the Saints of old, would have the courage to fight for the Faith.

Immaculate Heart of Mary

On the other hand, Our Lord may wish to send His Blessed Mother Mary herself, to free her children by means of an obvious miracle, from the toxic fallout of Vatican II and all that other un-Catholic rubbish heaped upon us for so many years. We know the Papal and Episcopal Consecration of Russia is long overdue, as is, no doubt, our chastisement. Thank Heaven the time is short now! It seems not years, but only months to count before the Triumph of Our Lady of Fatima, the exaltation of Saint Joseph and the Reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

"Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising,
Fair as the dawn, bright as the sun,
Terrible as an army set in battle array,
O Mary conceived without sin,
Pray for us who have recourse to Thee."
Maranatha! Come soon Lord Jesus, come soon! Amen.

Epilogue

This appeal for an Ex-Cathedra Judgment on Vatican II comes spontaneously from an informal source, without the auspices of any particular organization. Nevertheless, this author remains indebted to the Contre-Réforme Catholique (CRC) and its founding Father, the Abbé Georges de Nantes. It must be stressed that although a number of his insights have been included, the responsibility for the overall content of this appeal lies strictly with the author. However, the central thesis is credited to the Abbé’s conclusion; i.e. that the erroneous texts of this fallible "Pastoral" Council require a solemn judgment and rectification, and until such is granted, it is not possible to resolve the chaotic conciliar consequences in the Church. Furthermore, it is necessary to acknowledge the Abbé’s devotional, instructional and polemical writings, without which, this appeal (pale by comparison), would probably never have been written. For those who wish to have direct access to more information on these subjects, there is now an internet site for the English version of the CRC at:
